Don't worry. Sony will never abandon the hardcore like their competition. They barely supported the Move while MS put 100% focus on the casuals with Kinect.
You don't need an Xbox to play The Witcher 2 and Alan Wake. I also don't see the brand loyalty for Xbox that you speak of. MS has lost hardcore gamers by the millions and millions because of their obsession with casuals.
Certain people hate to hear that but it is a legitimate quest. The launch 360s didn't have the RROD 3 year warranty when the original one year warranty ran out so those people had to buy new ones.
Journey is an AMAZING experience. PSN has the best downloadable games hands down.
Exactly. Lack of exclusives is what got MS in dead last place. Exclusives matter a lot. Do you see how excited everyone is about Sony's new IPs The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls compared to how nobody is excited for Gears of War Judgement(only 90k pre orders)?
You can get 3rd party games on either system so exclusives are what sets one console apart from the other. You do the math.

For me to be interested in the next Xbox I'll have to see focus back on the hardcore and not talking just more Halo and Gears.

God of War is #1. Check the sales and reviews. God of War sells more than all of those games and scores higher than all those games.
Those are all legit reasons but I'd like to add that Gears of War Judgement only has 90k pre orders. Other Gears games had over a million pre orders.

Hasn't Kinect been at that same 24 million for over a year now? What happened? It broke records the first year and stagnated the second year.
76 million is good numbers but not enough to beat Sony at 77 million sold. MS have got the least momentum going into next generation.
This is the right move when you franchise title only has 90k pre orders. It's a desperate move but the right move to try to sell this game as nobody seems interested in Gears of War Judgement.
Agreed. Nintendo made the grave mistake of turning their backs on the hardcore in favor of the casuals and now they want the hardcore to trust them. Not going to happen. When you lose the hardcore you will never get them to trust that you won't abandon them again. Microsoft will learn this lesson next gen as well.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Halo 4 just feels outdated. I believe people are tire of the same old game play from over ten years ago and this proves it. Halo needs a change but not too much or you will turn off everyone like what's happening with Gears of War Judgement sitting at only 90k pre orders and the game is only a month away from release. It's a sticky situation for Halo. Stay the same and people lose interest like what's happening with Halo 4 right ...
The pre orders are extremely low like only around 90k. You're right, this just might be the last.
