Great read and 100% true. MS completely abandoned the core when it comes to new IPs. The only new IPs MS released were all Kinect shovelware that don't sell. That's a problem that the core fans won't forget and will not trust MS with the new Xbox. MS thinks more Halo, Gears, and Forza will be enough but it won't. PC ports won't cut it either. You can't call a game exclusive if you can play the game on PC. That's just desperate.

We know the winner won't be Nintendo. MS is predictable and show the same stuff every year. Mark my words, MS will show some form of Halo, Fable, and Forza at this year's E3 along with A LOT of Kinect games and A LOT of free apps behind the XBL paywall including Skpe. The next Xbox will be heavily Kinect and app focused. Those "4 new core IPs" I keep hearing about will be all Kinect games. Mark my words.

There is some truth to this statement. Sony already beat MS twice now so they may have their sights on Steam. Sony seems to be big on streaming now. Looks like MS is not competing as a games console anymore. MS is competing with smart TVs and set top devices instead.
Sony always innovates. I expect nothing less from them.
MS also needs a cloud gaming system to compete with the Sony owned Gaikai. MS can't seem to be able to get a simple cloud save system to work properly so I don't see how they can get cloud gaming to work.
This is not good for a paid service.
