Taking ps4, I can see that KZ and Infamous look considerably more advanced than their later ps3 counterparts. That is for devs first games on ps4 too. Imagine what their 2nd attempts will look like?

You need to look up pub fund. That is not how it works. Sony does incubation projects at Sony Santa Monica that are 3 game deals, Sony owns the IP and after the 3 games devs set up alone.
Pub fund is s help for devs that buys Sony 6 months exclusivity but afterwards there are normally no caveats and devs keep IP.
Rumour was that ps4 was shipping 60 to Xbone 16 per store. Ps4 stock is apparently much higher with XB struggling. Some say MS would rather have gone next year.

He is not wrong. The benefit of console as opposed to phone etc , is you have a pure core audience. I've bought loads of disc based games but also downloaded many digital games and not just 69p ones. we will spend up to £20 for downloadable games if they are good enough.
On iPhone , I've heard 10% of devs make 90% of the money. This adds another format to sell to. I don't use Steam etc on PC( I will once I get another laptop) and I dint buy games on my Android phone....

Uncharted was buggy. UC2 had some massive bugs. I encountered one where I dropped through the environment . Why? Because they push so hard and are actually quite small teams . UC2 shat on all other console games for ages , technically .
A few bugs for that level of visuals and presentation are acceptable .
Especially with so many other games full of glitches , tearing and framerate issues , while achieving far less

I've heard the "ps3 was more powerful on.paper but not reality" loads.
I haven't played 360 in awhile( mine died and I didn't bother with another). I'd only played L4D in recent times and that is hardly a graphics showcase( great game though). The other day I played Halo Reach. I'd heard a lot of talk about it. I enjoyed my time with it BUT it did destroy a myth.
