Wrong. Sales do matter. Sales dictate the 3rd party games. From a PS perspective, if XB have the sales AND their huge bank balance , they can easily sign exclusive content. If Sony have the sales , MS costs in doing so go up considerably. Look at PS2. It got tons of exclusives because it wasn't worth worrying about the other 2 consoles in sales terms. Big picture
We won't know true comparisons until a few months of both consoles readily available.
Early sales suggest PS4 will outsell XB1. I'd expect about 30% advantage but both are selling. This is good for all of us. Please embrace this as good news.... EVERY gamer

I think Forza is a better game but it's not better for petrol heads. GT drives far better.
I've heard XB1 has a lot not working as it should. This update( fix) really backs that up. Sounds a bit like a mess.
My PS4 runs very nicely thanks. Functions as expected. Fast and clean.
Competition is always the best thing for consumers. We do not want ANYONE to monopolise console gaming. We lose in that scenario
But since you need to own cable boxes etc, it's not really extras. More a sideways move. I have all the cable features as it is with TiVo. Why do I need it plugged into an XB1? Voice? No thanks.
Most of the extras are gimmicks in my opinion.
Quantum Break is the XB1 game I'm most interested in. It will be like Alan Wake though. Gameplay will not match the early visuals and XB1, while capable of good visuals, is incapable of matching PS4. People will claim it looks better but it will be confusion of art vs technical graphics , and a desire to prefer it.
That's the reality.
Doesn't mean it won't be an excellent game.

This is the ONLY XB1 game that looks tempting. I won't buy a console for one game.
However , some people seem intent on overhype. Game looks good but it is not in a league of it's own.

the best way for devs to profit from Plus , is to follow the "free" game with DLC. I'll happily pay £3-4 for reasonable added levels after Plus freebies.
And kids love The Playroom. Well, mine do anyway. They've played it loads.

That is unsurprising. You can't tell a glaring difference between difference and differents.
I do not think it's ugly though. I think it's a great piece of product design.
Why? Your Steam box will get almost all the XB games and they'll look/ run better. What a weird choice.
