What is strange is that review scores aren't reflecting the difference. When 360/ PS3 reviews had differences , PS3 got lower scores. That would be for a average 3 fps lower, a few muddy textures and a missing bush or maybe a 15 line res difference. The difference in almost all faceoffs was very small, yet apparently a massive thing. We are seeing large gaps favouring PS4 over XB1 but now it doesn't matter. Odd.
MS seem to carry far more sway with media.
I thought this was being exaggerated , as I knew of no cases. I now have a friend that has this. Not good after 2 months.

This game may be excellent. It is not Alpha though. That's bullshit to make you believe it will have loads of graphics passes. If it is Alpha, it won't be out in March. Not realistic to call Alpha about 4 weeks from gold

I'm not saying it should be GOTY, I'm only 3.5 hours in. However, I'm guessing from your writing that cerebral games may not be your first port of call.
I've played it. The early build. It was decent but not special.
I'd rather they get it right than push it out early. MS would have forced the dev to punt it out.

I know 7 or 8 PS4 owners( plus kids using them as well), and I've not heard / seen a single and pad issue. I own 2 and I have no stick issue. I also recommend the double mains charger to eliminate battery life issues
This game may well be amazing. It does not, however " LOOK amazing". Graphically , it's very average. I've seen it running myself on PC and it look barely next gen.
Headline is a quote without context and misleading. He was saying in the way it is used predominantly with digital downloads not physical media. He suggesting it in the way people use it. I love how the internet has a large text base but so many users fail to read.
It's quite simple. When they saw/ played Little Big Planet, they thought " this will work in a side scrolling Mario game AND being Nintendo people will say it's original. They always do. " ;-)

Thanks for that the well reasoned opinion. Hope we don't catch you praising any sequels on here soon. This is the 3rd full game in the series( 1 short, fun download spin off on top). Hardly being milked compared to many game series.

It felt best? Why not have variable game size? Other games do it and you don't upset people. After all, it's not a technical reason ;-). I prefer bigger teams in shooters . Maybe because I'm not great at them and don't have hours to devote to it.
PS4 was the best selling home console this YEAR in the UK. 360 was 2nd.
360 had lots of games year 1 and 2. PS3 just flew past it and picked up many 360," exclusives " along the way.
A long USB cable is cheaper and a one off payment. Doh!
Official charge stand. I have 2 DS4s on the cradle, constantly charged. It's mains charging so nothing needs to be USB on and even if flat, I've clocked full charge at about 1.5 hours. Battery life is DS4s one weakness.
The thumb stick argument doesn't bother me much. I can use either. However, the thumbstick being "up" gives my thumb less range of movement than away from the hand at 90°. It's restrictive and, in my opinion, the less ergonomic position. ...
That article is pathetic. As bad as saying XB1 was " fastest selling" because ps4 did its 1.1 million in a day and not over time.
Both selling is good for all of us, though.
Best pad yet. Battery life is inferior but about 8hours. The battery warning comes up with near an hour left. My advice ? Buy the double mains official cradle . It's excellent. I tried XB1 and it felt cheap and a step back from 360 to me. Movement from triggers to bumpers is not ergonomic at all.
