I'm a PS3 fan.Played this friday in a 4 player LAN.It's better than the already brilliant first game BUT it's a co op game.I wouldn't be happy with it if single player was my main/only option.
It's one of the best co op games out there.I will say that had they released on PS3,I would have bought it on there and got another 5 or 6 friends to buy it so Valve are being silly fanboys not doing it.There are sales to be had.
Couldn't care less but I would like voice chat to work properly in Borderlands.
Killzone 2s Multiplayer was superb and L4D2 I start playing friday.Surely too late.I love L4D but not enough time for it to be in consideration and I believe it's there as an Xbox representitive only.

Only difference is lighting.PS3 looks more realistic,360 has that Unreal/PC(I know they didn't use Unreal) glow to it.Other than that....identical.

It's not hard to argue that 360 is NOT the superior media box.It's loud(big minus for a media hub),unreliable(unnecessary use seems a risk)and most of the add ons are overpriced(Sky tv) or just surpassed by Ps3s browser(twitter,Facebook).

To top it all the 360 doesn't even work with a keyboard or allow most of the features of those sites.
I can't imagine why anyone would do those things on 360 if you have a PC/Laptop and most other media is better stored...
The PS3 has no hope of overtaking the 360 in the US but recently games have been getting better multiplat attach rates there,which would never have happened a year ago.

Owning both consoles is the best option but PS3 has been stronger for the last 18 months and looks even stronger going into next year.

I totally agree.No one in their right mind could use 360 as their primary entertainment device.It's noisy,unreliable(don't need the extra stress on it),DVD picture quality is poor,I had to use Tv sound on my first gen one because the optical cable wouldn't stay connected,the menu is slow and clunky and if you have a PS3 there is no comparison for media(games are a matter of opinion though).
I love the fact that now the reviews are coming out they are backing those of us that didn't buy the Turn 10 bull.A good game it may be but most reviews point out that it looks no where near GT5 visual quality.
Most of us could see that.
I will say though that it odes not hurt anyine to have high level competition for GT5.I bet they are pushing further now than they would if Forza did not exsist.Car fans will always go GT but game fans have a true alternative(and 360 only owners)....
And I'm level 7 hunter on Borderlands and it's definitely above a 6.Good solid fun,good looking and great co op play(although PS3 headsets are a bit spotty).
Edge do definitely shaft PS3(I subscribe,and read it for years)but Rachet,God of War have always scored low in Edge but now they are extending to other sony stuff.
I never liked The reviews much anyway,they value the new(except in Halo/Mario)over polish every time.To score well innovation is THE most important element and I'm sorry but I disagree.Innovation is the cherry,not the cake.If movies,books and tv took that view everything would score 6 or below.

If I could shift L4D2(with 1 thrown in),Gears,Alan Wake and Crackdown 2 to PS3,I could throw my 360 away.Since cancelling Live(and it's massively over rated superiority)I play mostly PS3 only with only those games listed a reason to dust 360 off.
APB is now not confirmed for anything but PC and is also as likely to come to PS3 as 360(MS upset the devs....badly)
