It certainly helps get you more attention for a game that's wrapped in an enigma.
That's exactly how I feel.
I know plenty of women that love Soul Calibur, and they all have never complained about this. We all know sex sells. Skimpy clothes, same-sex kisses, etc., but it seems like every so often someone forgets.
Always great to see someone dust off an old subject on some of gaming's past doings.
Life found a way.
Pretty spot on. Is it just me or do those 4 dollar waters taste like the dollar ones? Anyway, yeah, it certainly seemed like the general consensus was the recently publicly made E3 isn't the greatest. Admittedly, I was kind of surprised to hear this from a few people, but then thinking about how many Youtubers there are I realized the nightmare. At the very least, though, you seemed to end the trip on a high note.
Overall, I felt this year's E3 was underwhelming too...
Reptile really let himself go.
So we're not using the bones of a thousand warriors and the tears of gaming fanboys? But Darrell, that's how first-party studios are born.
Construction aside, I'm curious as to what their first project will be about. I can't imagine the weight that's going to be on their shoulders to deliver, but at the same time how exciting it's going to be to forge their own path.
This... will be interesting.
Definitely a standout at E3 for me. Reminded me of Second Sight or Psi-Ops, but with a Playdead feel mixed with some Kubrick.
Good find, albert.
The community truly does make E3 what it is, and their passion is infectious on those floors.
I loved the ending to the article. To tell you the truth, there probably is no greater high and if I made that my last show I wouldn't regret it.
Phil could have been talking about an Xbox ecosystem, referring to every device as a console. Microsoft already branched in that direction when Xbox One and the PC started sharing titles. The talks of streaming are heating up and technology is only getting better, and cloud gaming is probably going to be a big deal Gen 9.
As for two consoles, a base and premium, that Pandora's box has already been opened with the "upgrades" this gen. Now we get to see the affe...
To be frank, this was a bad E3. Mostly attributed to the many leaks, or to quote Dignam out of The Departed, "more leaks than the Iraqi Navy," and some developers already telling us what their focus was going to be, thus robbing us of the surprises we have come to expect. This is probably why so many people seemed to hate the Sony and Nintendo conferences. They told us their focus but a lot of us didn't believe them, so some hopes got dashed.
I'm not tryin...
Did EA write this?
Nintendo's E3 really was not all that great, nor was anyone else's. In my opinion, all the Big 3 conferences lacked that "wow" factor.
On the other hand, we are all used to E3's preview event and Nintendo did say what they were going to focus on way before E3, so my/anyone's disappointment isn't justified. Still, either way, I found it lacking.
Why not?
Nope. A lot can happen between now and the holiday season. Besides, we no doubt have plenty of Directs and other announcements to get to yet.
No ink cartridges? Boo. Well, I suppose I'll overlook that, but if you're going to return to true survival horror in the Dawn of the Dead of video games, why not go for the throat and keep that tradition? Make the younger gamers panic. Give them a "you have to unlearn what you have learned," moment. Forget it. We still have the typewriters anyway.
Overall, I am actually - officially - excited for this remake. It looks as though great care was taken, inter...

Twinfinite, why is it so hard to put your lists on one page or two?
Anyway, Splinter Cell. We need Sam Fisher.
To be honest, I would be more surprised if it didn't.
