Is this replacing demos? Because demos are extremely limited compared to last gen.

As long as what is included with the launch game sans DLC is the full experience, then I have no problem buying it. If it is stripped down on purpose in order to charge us $100 for a full game, then shame on them.

I think BOTH consoles are disappointing on the hardware side.But then again, I believe both offer compelling software that more than makes up for it.

I will always remember near the beginning of SH1, where it starts to grow darker and darker as the music grows in its pace, it created such a powerful sense of dread that I was mesmerized. Plus I believe all good horror has an element of sadness, which SH1 had in spades.And the main song, just perfect, I recall finding it on Napster and burning it to disk back in the day.
The Xbox brand has been hated by a certain group of people since the day it was announced. I have never understood the mentality that any one company has more of a "right"to make game products than another. You are correct in saying that there is an ongoing effort to trash Xbox, because this group I speak of for whatever psychotic reason wants MS out of the business.
