Watch VR take over as it advances. I’ll be laughing so hard.
@Frosty
Exactly. It’s like, well, we were wrong, it’s still here, so what can we say? How about something non-committal like “is it dying a slow death?” No stupid, it’s only going to get better as technology gets stronger.
I think those companies that invested in VR and gained the experience of working with it from its inception, will reap the reward of that experience when it really takes off. Any goat who puts a headset on would immidiately see the immense potent...
Ok
Come now it wasn’t that bad. Stock prices go up and down for the slightest indications.
Yoshida is really a breathe of fresh air.
It doesn’t. But I feel the benefits are mainly PR talking point. For one thing, Nintendo players wouldn’t even be in a fair position compared to Xbox owners considering they maybe playing on a handheld and using Nintendo’s non-paid network. That wouldn’t be a balanced playing field, which is bad for both player bases if they are playing a competitive game for example.
Both companies need it for different reasons, but they are really using it as a PR stunt. We had crossplay...
They really do have the best studios. I don’t think anyone can deny that. I remember when people cheered when the Naughty Dog logo came on, and these aren’t employees cheering, they were regular gamers. That is telling.
Well if Microsoft is any indication, a deep enough pocket can buy into this industry. Personally I think 3 players is enough, especially because I think any more major players would force the exit of one of the 3 current players.
Seems more like a union of the desperate. (“Survive together” is right) Nintendo definitely would benefit, and Microsoft needs a talking point. Good for them.
Oh yeah baby bring it. Can’t wait to blow some hours on this!
To be fair there were some comments saying Detroit: Become Human 363,000 units sold in 2 days was a “flop”.
I thought it was great sales, but some people were really adamant that it was bad numbers. Even though it was Quantic’s best sales.
I like the idea of more diverse protagonist representation. Especially if it allows for more unique stories. Nothing wrong with having white male protagonist either. But we do get that anyway.
Even if Microsoft has/had all that, it still can’t maintain it for the entire generation. Or should I say won’t because their business model is to enter strong and then hand over the reins to 3rd party games and rely on 3rd party contractual exclusives. (This is why they weren’t prepared for falling behind this generation because after they did, they hadn’t culminated enough 1st party studios to do anything about it.)
First party is just not their thing. I reckon they will...
I think PlayStation will have the benefit and arriving right after the Xbox, since they are in no rush to change the generation. So, more likely the PlayStation will be slightly more powerful. But regardless I think we’ve seen enough to know that PlayStation games will be better looking regardless of who has the stronger console.
@naruga
What do you mean “why not”? I’m asking you what your reasoning is, and you answer with “why not”? If you can’t give your reasons it’s probably a silly reason that you don’t want to put into words because it’s embarrassing.
@rememberthe357
That’s what I thought.
I’m sorry Skulls but that’s literally the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard.
Why?
Actually the missinformative articles are the sketchy thing here. Not what Sony is doing.
Anyone who is aware of the details would agree that Sony has every right not to allow it
Yeah, Let’s forget about the technology that’s here, and focus on one that doesn’t exist yet... am I missing something?
