I believe you are assuming that the dev will not be able to make the game simultaneously for the two systems (creating a base that works for both) and then go back and add more assets to the more capable PS5.
Im sure Sony’s first party will be pushing the boundaries yet again, but I think 3rd party devs can also use the SSD to push their games on PS5.
Carney already explained this. The dev won’t have to do anything. They simply will be able to create more and not worry about whether it will be able to fit it.
Perhaps they will make the game for both consoles and then go back to add more assets to the PS5 with no worries. I’m no dev, but it seems like it’s a matter of the dev wanting to go the extra mile for the PS5 to really shine.
@anubusgold
That is a very misguided description of what happened.
It’s the trust they have garnered in their fan base. They deliver every generation. They take risks, make games, and push new tech. It’s a sure thing with PlayStation.
@brrdatisback
That’s exactely right.
It’s become normal to use slogans and phrases to shut people up. Things like “all lives matter” (created by Fox), “SJW”, and “virtue signaling”.
How can someone who believes that “ALL” lives matter, have a problem with a group of people protesting to be included in the “ALL”? In other words, what they really want to say is “shut up and don’t complain” because deep down, they really don’t want all lives to matt...
This is why no matter how much I’ve heard I won’t be dissuaded from playing the game. I need to see what ND has prepared.
I can only speak for myself as someone who finished it. It was one of the highlights of the generation for me. I will buy the sequel for sure.
But this was actually informative if you read the rest of the article. Also the guy is not gamingbolyt’s developer.
I thought the reviews were not really reflective of how good/enjoyable the game was. But 71 isn’t technically a bad score. I would have given it over 9. But I can see how someone else could give it less.
My thoughts exactely. How can they leave it off? It was great.
With the number of developers praising the PS5 it’s no longer any doubt that there is something special about it.
Everyone wants a piece of the pie.
But she needed to copyright the original words. If she didn’t, then it’s public domain.
That’s Naughty Dog
It’s going to be great.
Even though it saddens me, I agree and understand why they chose to wait it out.
Are these people breaking the early review embargo? Looks like this game is going to break the internet.
It’s going to blow minds from what we’ve heard
I could care less for the haters. I just want this game as I’ve been waiting for it ever since the first one. Day one.
@I am Batman
“Fully realized”, yes. But that doesn’t mean that multiplats cant create a common game that works with both devices, and then go back and add more assets to the PS5 version’s more capable SSD.
