I bought a DS4 on the DS4 launch day, still don't have a PS4 but I will be getting one for Bloodborne. DirectInput to XInput wrappers have been a thing for a while now. This article seems almost pointless as any competent gamer would at least have the problem solving prowess to just Google it. Those who wanted to do this but haven't figured it out yet probably shouldn't be trusted with a PC.

"like x360ce"
x360ce IS one of those programs the name is derived from "Xbox 360 Controller Emulator"
Since it installs a .dll to the game directory it is a run once and done solution.
While it doesn't support the touch input it gets the job done without the need for running an extra program in the background. I will keep the one you mentioned in mind if I ever need that extra input. (likely usef...
I'm just going to put this out there for you and whoever else who were fans of the PS2 Ace Combat games...
Vector Thrust (PC) is a fan made spiritual successor to Ace Combat that looks pretty promising. I have played the Early Access version and I see huge potential in it.
It is pretty solid mechanics-wise and maps well to a DS4. (you have to use a DirectInput to XInput translator like x360ce)Feature wise it has everything you expect from an Ace Combat ga...
The thing that irritates me the most is the fact that most of these 'social' games are re-skinned versions of games that have existed for years (with social aspects such as spamming your friends and family!). They were free games as they were usually practice projects or were otherwise deemed unworthy of a price.
It bothers me that people ignorantly pay for these games and act like they never existed in the past. Now we have publishers looking to cash in on this sensa...
You know, if you stopped after the first two sentences I would have gone with Agree/Well Said. It is the rest of your comment that turns it into Disagree/Trolling.
If you feel that way don't sink to their level, don't even acknowledge them.
Also many of the entry level $4k monitors (aka the ones that are in a sane price range) have horrible latency.
I really love my PC and it takes up most of my non-portable gaming time but unfortunately as long as consoles even exist there will be a reason to buy them due to exclusives.
Shitty game communities exist on both ends but I personally have run into more of them on PC. This leads me to choose multiplatform games based upon which side has the better community.
(of course if it is single player/co-op only then I choose PC)
With all of that being...
This list doesn't really account for VPNs... chances are states with significantly higher rates have popular VPN hosts there. Also with the decline of demos there are a significant portion of illegal downloads being done specifically for testing purposes since system requirements aren't reliable.
What is the point of reviewing a game that going into it you know you won't like? It was already prejudged based upon a sense of morals... so why even bother?
Games are best reviewed by people who actually like the genre the game belongs to. Those people would provide a better details to those who would be interested in the game.
It is just a two-way xinput to directinput translator... this isn't a matter of greed but rather two different input standards. (and in the case of systems that lock controllers it probably spoofs the hardware IDs-- I don't know if PS4 or XB1 actually locks out controllers... I know the PS3 didn't. Does the PS4 have a bluetooth accessories option menu? If so has anyone tried putting other xinput controllers in search mode and syncing them?)
If hashed credit card info and passwords aren't enough security for you why not have that one extra layer of security by not using your credit card at all?
There is no good reason to not have PSN cards, it can only be a positive for those that choose to use it.
I don't really know how it will be executed but it has got me thinking...
If a publisher would move to a completely subscription based model (at a higher price than this) and it were to catch on this would make the earnings of the publisher as a whole more important than the profits of any one particular game. This could take pressure off of new or niche IPs to sell massive numbers.
With less risk being associated with those titles they might even have ...
It has RPG elements... Valkyria Chronicles III with it's individual character progression definitely crosses that blurry line. I would love a game that combines ideas from VC, Fire Emblem, MGS: Peacewalker together.
RPG, Strategy, SRPG, TRPG, JRPG, WR, TE... doesn't matter too much what we call it in the end- it is a great game.
As much as I love VC (and that badass Welkin pose) it isn't an RPG; it is a hybrid game that is in a category of its own.
Day 1 buy, pre-order if online enabled!
"We have to validate ourselves for buying platforms and games?"
...and that is the core of the fanboy mentality. The last line of defense is to go with the "Watamote" route and declare that "No Matter How I Look at It, It’s You Guys Fault [system] is Not Popular"
Just shut up and game people, the only people you should have to convince is your friends so that you can be playing the same games. (now if a company engages in anti-co...
SOCOM 4 was a big f&%k you to fans as well thanks to Sony/Zipper's (failed) attempt at appealing to the CoD crowd...
"It's my turn, okay?"
That's the last words the enemy hears before the "weak" scout Alicia buffed up with the all-powerful orders from Welkin proceeds to single-handedly wreck their shit.
Best game ever 11/10
Seriously though, it is a great game... I am currently playing a translation patched version of VCIII right now.
The only reason I use the exploits is for translation patches. It is annoying when a publisher stubbornly refuses to localize certain games. Since the Vita is region free you just import the game and download a translation patch.
They have been revealing these exploits one at a time so Sony wouldn't patch them all at once. This is actually a BAD thing for the Vita hacking scene to those who miss this probable final opportunity in a long time.
