Absolutely. It's always great to get to talk about what games get right. :)
I haven't played it, so I don't know, but I sorta got that the reason the game didn't do well was because of the grinding. But days is a little too short. I'd prefer games find a happy medium.
I remember Black Desert being a big thing when it came out, then I just stopped hearing about it. I guess this explains why. Ha. I'm glad to hear the game is doing better now though.
Ha. That's crazy! Glad to hear you found a copy. :)
I really enjoyed the replenish your health through attacking thing in Bloodborne. But it definitely got me killed just as often as it helped. The stamina replenish system rewards careful coordination of attacks instead of frantic hacking, which I like more. But I agree, the faster paced combat is definitely a plus overall. It's just nice that Nioh kind of gives you a choice too.
Since I'm not a programmer or anything I've never even thought about going to a game jam. But they sound like a lot of fun.
This just makes me love bioware. :)
This actually sounds really interesting. I like the idea of being able to just look around the whole battlefield.
Okay. But even if they are a failure up to this point, is there no chance of them improving?
Ha. I can just picture him walking into a room with chris and Leon and going "hey guys... How's it going?"
I agree, it is definitely a touchy subject. But I think stuff like blatantly stereotypical members of different ethnic groups would still be worse. You have stuff like comments from Russian players about not liking Zarya and stuff like that. Ultimately, I'm just glad Blizzard is trying.
The article actually makes specific reference to Injustice, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Spider-Man.
I'm glad to hear you have thoroughly enjoyed the superhero game offerings recently. Injustice, Telltale's Batman, and, as you probably could have guessed, the Arkham games are some of my favorites. For a lot of gamers however, especially when it comes to those looking for AAA, polished experiences in the DC and Marvel universes but aren't a fan of fighting games,...
Unfortunately, neither of those games are modern though. Wolverine was 2009, while Hulk was 2005, on the PS2. And as strong as they might have been at the time, the mechanics of Hulk might of resonated, but the game as a whole did not. And while we've had Devil May Cry games and God of War games since Wolverine, we haven't had another Wolverine game. It's not about there never having been a single good superhero game. It's about the fact that the last ten years, (an incredibly...
The problem is that great licensed superhero games are the exception. And you're right, there are plenty of games out there, but think of them in comparison to the Arkham games. Even if you aren't a diehard Batman fan, you can come to them simply for the reason of them being awesome games. Meanwhile, if you are not a specifically a fan of the characters and seeking them out in particular, most are not likely to pick up the Deadpool game or any of the movie tie-in Hulk and Captain Amer...
There are definitely a lot of great superhero movies, but the problem is specifically the games. There are a lot of games where you play as side-characters alongside the universes main heroes (DC Universe Online) or superhero games not connected to a Marvel or DC (Wonderful 101). But we have yet to find that amazing Iron Man game or the totally awesome Wonder Woman game. We've had the Arkham games and the spider-man game, but I think that there is just so much more in superhero comics to ...
I would love to see Cheetah. But with all the rumors of ares being in the Wonder Woman film, he'll probably show up again instead.
There was a time where it seemed like local co-op was dying. I'm glad to see its at least kind of coming back. We still need more though. :P
Very cool. It seems the dad in Andromeda will at least appear, but I really hope its not just him showing up to die after a single scene...
Ha. Thanks for the catch. But yes, the twist reveal is they turn out to be robotic pieces of artillery. Sorry for giving that one away. :P And really, I guess I never tried out the spacer background, or maybe it's just been too long since I went through the original game. Does the mom actually show up or is she just mentioned?
Yeah. I haven't played breath of the wild yet but horizon blew me away. With all the praise Zelda is getting I can't wait to try it out and see if it really is that much better than everything else.
