YOU CAN USE NERO 8 TO STREAM AVI, DIVX, AND XVID FILES TO THE PS3. IT SIMPLY TRANSCODE THEM INTO MPEG2 WHICH WAS THE MAIN FILE CODEC THE PS3 WAS RECOGNIZING. NOW IT ALSO RECOGNISES DIVX, XVID AND WMV. TO MY FELLOW PS3 OWNERS THERE IS NO NEED TO USE WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER. NERO, TVERSITY, OR WINAMP WORKS FINE. ALSO YOU CAN USE THE PSP AS A SLINGBOX SORT OF. Downloaded the update. It fully supports divx files and some xvid files. But the fact is that i can use Nero to still stream files from my PC PS3. Also who the hell spends time encoding their video files into WMV. Divx is way better. Xbox360 still restricts with its media streaming crap. Also there are more dixv HD videos to download from bittorrent sites these days.It is also not a problem to convert xvid to divx.

God bless Sony and the PS3! Oh and use Nero 7 or 8 to stream almost anything to the PS3. I been using since Summer. It transcodes the files on the fly to Mpeg2 but now i guess with Divx support i can watch my whole Drogon Ballz collection amongst other things.

Please fix the in game feature it is so cool but it doesn't work properly. I love the picture feature where i can use my pics from the PS3 hard drive. Video features would be nice or even music.
CNET voted the KDL-XBR4 as the best 1080p LCD, i agree because i got one and its ridiculously sweet. The motion enhancer makes hi-def imagery look more realistic. You can turn it off if you want. Sony this year has done the best.Their Bravia lineup speaks for itself. I always go by seeing is believing and i went and saw different kinds of hi-def tvs and was blown away by the 40" bravia. Samsung is also in that league as well. It depends now on who's design you like the best.

TO everyone in this chat session . I have been streaming from my PC divx,wmv and other files to my PS3 using Nero 8 and the new winamp. Nero transcodes your video files from their original format to a compatible format for the PS3 which in this case is MPEG-2.
