Nintendo was at a crux with the Wii: They could either try to keep adult-themed games in the library, or they could keep the nostalgia running strong with their main IP's. Glad to see Nvidia finally pushing this product. I have had a Shield Portable for about a year and I absolutely love it. I cannot help but wonder why Nvidia doesnt sell this beaut at Future Shop or Best Buy. This baby could be a beast to the Intel PC crowd but the general public would never know it. I have had a total of 1 person recognize a Shield in my hands.
I play tons of Pc games on my shield every day through game-stream. Some games obviously play better than others on the screen depending on draw distances and such. I've played everything from wolfenstein to batman to bastion on it. It's pretty much portable perfection.
I have the shield portable. I decided to forgo the tablet simply because of convenience. The K1 tegra looks sexy in the tablet, but for sheer mobile excellence, I would go with the Shield Portable. Best $200 bucks I ever spent.
Absolutely wonderful. I cant wait to try this on my Shield. I do game streaming to my Shield all the time so I am anxious what this new service will bring. That Shield is worth its weight in gold. If you havent tried one out, I strongly suggest you do so.
You simply press the Back button on the X1 controller and you can see the improvements plain as day. I've never been so faded that I can't work the controller...
I smoked a few doobers with my buds and reminisced about Halo in the old days. Then we went coop and had our minds blown by all the improvements.
I currently run an epson 5030 on 106" screen and it is amazing for gaming. Highly recommend if you have the space and money to purchase a projector. It's hard to beat that WOW factor when my friends are over. In fact my friend and I put on a few hours of MCC the other day. Having such a large screen makes split-screen coop a lot more manageable.
In conclusion, buy a projector.
Damn regional costs shouldnt affect the price of digital goods. There are no middlemen, shipping, or anyone else looking for a cut. Just money straight to Microsoft. You would think they would just get parity on the currency and let you purchase.

A price drop? From Nintendo? They are very few and far between Im afraid. There are no Deals with Gold, no PS+ deals, no Steam Sales for Nintendo. Just retailers dropping prices at their whim (which isnt too often)
Microtransactions from a Nintendo game is especially jarring because its Nintendo! They are like an old friend. An old friend that wants you to buy them supper, then cab fare, maybe a movie, then a snack all of the sudden.
I paid $70 for Mariokart for Wii U two days ago. It isnt a new game by any means, but Nintendo games never depreciate it seems. Lo and behold on the first screen when you pick your characters there are Microtransactions to open up Link and other characters.
So all told, Nintendo is still charging ridiculous prices as well as Microtransactions. While they arent needed to complete the game, that is total garbage that the First Screen literally has 7 Microtransactions on a $70 game....
Finally a Jurassic Park Game! Been too long. Even if the Lego schtick is starting to get old, I would gladly overlook it for a chance to revisit the Park.
There are a lot of great reasons to love steam. Family sharing, in-home game streaming, community, achievements, price, daily/weekly/weekend deals, convenience, reliability, the list goes on and on. And all for free! Valve only improves the service as time goes by. There is no hype. No frenzy of misinformation. Valve simply slips the new improvements onto the service.
These are also the reasons why the userbase is so high, and why ubisoft finally came around to sharing their IPs aga...
I will gladly lay down cash for this one. Been a while since I sailed the high seas, but Rockstar deserves my money. Again.
More couch co-op please! Diablo 3 was wonderful. I'm always on the lookout for games I can play with the gf. So far Nintendo has cornered the market on couch co-op.
If it's anything like uplay I would imagine it just redirects you from steam to the alternate drm supplier. I'm not a fan of the extra drm. And not a fan of ubisoft dropping steam content here in canada either.
Kind of a cool idea you can keep your progress after you download the full game. If this takes off it would be a nice caveat to Steam services. Maybe Valve would start up a trial option to devs, something like Steamworks where it's optional and beneficial.
And I have been interested to see Ryse on my rig...
