Dang, so even Devs are calling it irrelevant. Yeesh
Can we just have good characters? Look at Ellie, a well written character that's pretty much into the ladies, She's a good character first and foremost, that just happens to be like that. There wasn't really any shock value, and I think some people just want the shock value.
It's true. The studios are shaking things up, just look at what's happened over the past 10 years at SCE. Last gen, it was major SCEE studios undergoing changes like a few europe devs closing down, Cambridge reorganizing, and Media Molecule & Guerrilla Games expanding. Alan Becker went over to Japan Studio and has been changing the culture over there, so I think we'll see way better output this gen. SCEA is next in line, and I feel like SSM may have grown too big, bloated in a...
Oh, I was just poking a little fun there lol. But yea I get what you're saying.
The only thing that has changed, is the emergence of online gamin/forums and the internet. Back in the nintendo/Sega Dreamcast days, this stuff was always around. Console wars have existed as long as the competition has been there and unfortunately they will be here as long as there is no monopoly over the game industry.
I feel it is the gaming media which perpetuates this nonsense. Look at the amy hennig article that IGN posted, along with their sensationalist titles. The me...
I can vouch for this as well. Let's just say I got an "early" preview too lol and yes if you're playing on a 1080p native display it looks so good. The thing that gets me, is the lighting. Sucker Punch are masters at setting the mood of the scene.
Well done to everyone who slaved over this launch lol. You guys did well, and Xbox One didn't do too shabby either. Hardware sales are healthy at the moment.
See this is why people come out of games disappointed. I don't see what's wrong with playing games that just do thing well, if it doesn't set the world on fire then that's not a "pre order cancelled". What's wrong with just playing a good game, and if it happens to be so innovative, then that's fine too.
We said that last gen too. But even towards of the end of the ps3/360 gen many games were running sub 720p up-scaled. it was very disappointing. If you can't hit it now, with x86 architecture of all things, then yes there is cause for concern.
Only other thing that did something like this was GTA V, and PS4 launch day.
DAY ONE on PS4
These guys are completed uneducated on infamous marketing.
Lack of marketing? You mean this isn't? https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Goodness, this game looks amazing when you turn it to 1080p, and it's still 6 months to release....
Isn't this the same site that said Thief's fps was higher on Xbox One? Then digital foundry published their analysis and it turns out that Xbox One's is worse than PS4's?
Just saying. Anyway, kotaku and giantbomb both reported on this. Polygon has noted it too, saying there's been lots of screen tearing.
It's not being rebooted. Back to the drawing board, just means quality control. The game won't be shipped until it's absolutely ready to come out.
Good reviews today, but sadly I have to wait two weeks for it to drop on 360.
Why are people acting like this is a bad score?
I doubt the brand is in any danger, Microsoft just has to worker harder for those $$$
What it probably means is that they won't sell as much as the PS4 will, and that's fine. As long as the Xbox One's success is measured by it's potential fulfilled according to the resources poured into the platform.
They are nothing alike. Very different in how they're designed to be played. Titanfall is geared towards competitive gaming, probably e-sports ready. Destiny is more of an open ended, cooperative focused game. Also has competitive, but the open world, and lore are major focal points.
They both will have large fanbases
But you cared enough to comment on this article lol
