Oh yea, I remember the prototype and infamous debates. Look at which franchise is still around......
Too bad, I think it would have done them some good. Oh well, there's always the next xbox in 5 years
The Last of Us isn't an open world game. Watch Dogs has to do way more, which all of the NPC interactions, weather simulations, random events, and etc. The Last of Us, because its more linear that means that it doesn't demand as much resources. They only need to animate what's relevant and in the nearest vicinity.
Watch Dogs is the opposite. It needs to keep a good solid framerate, far draw distances is vital in open world, and etc.
I AGREE 100% !! The story became way too convoluted, but I love the series anyway.
Xbox just no longer offers me anything I want. I like how you call me a fanboy, when you don't even know me. That kind of comment is baseless and kind of ignorant. Personally, I prefer Sony's emphasis on adventures and memorable stories over Xbox focus on social aspects and multiplayer/connectivity. Sure, I like where Sony is going next gen with better online I like their franchises way better.
Geez can't they give us new games? I haven't turned on my 360 in nearly a whole year. A game from 2010 & 2007 ? No wonder people are heading to PS+ .......
Good for Microsoft if they want to do this. But I don't see how this will persuade people to reconsider their console. The youtube videos of the May 21st press conference is all over the web. How many of the casual consumer will actually tune in to watch a reintroduction? Probably dedicated fans imo. Kinect is still required, and the system is $100 more than the ps4. Are they gonna show titanfall, and forza again? I think the damage has already been done, and something like this screams d...
And this is the type of comment that makes people look uneducated.
Do you even know what killzone's story is? Have you even had a hands on with the game? " I'd say is just a matter of not being able to experience first hand"
Then that makes your opinion not really worth taking seriously.
Like my parents taught me, "first impressions are everything."
What I saw on the the Xbox One reveal was the end game for me. Just like what Sony did at E3 with a lot of emphasis on indies. Some people walked away from E3 think PS4 is gonna be an indie machine, and others like me are thinking xbox won't be able to deliver my gaming needs. It's a matter of gamer perspective, which it itself is subjective.
But to answer the article's quest...

Have you seen Killzone Mercenary?
You know the saying that most of our parents should have taught us growing up. "There are repercussions to our actions" Everything we do, and say can be used against us. There are consequences for your policies. That's the nature of business. Sometimes bridges are burned. I really like what Adam Sessler said awhile back. He's really worried how so many people are so into these brands & game systems that they suffer from blind brand loyalty.
How can peop...
Once question.......Have you see Killzone Mercenary? lol
You have a touch screen cell phone don't you? Or an ipad, or iphone. Surely not a flip phone in 2013 lol. I'm just teasing you man lol. But really, its 2013 and most of us should be use to using touch peripherals. It's not that big of a deal to swipe in a direction for 1 second. If you can't take a touch prompt in something as little as the ps vita, how will you survive playing on the ps4 with a touch screen on the controller?
Sometimes we're just gonna h...
Really? Have you seen Killzone Shadow Fall's pre order numbers? I have and it's pretty damn impressive. Its the highest selling Next Gen exclusive game
http://www.vgchartz.com/pre...
And yes I know about VGchartz. I'm putting this here while I try to find another site, but the numbers must not be too far off.
Sorry, but I don't follow. By typical you mean its a fast paced, twitch, quick re-flexed shooter that's very simple, and easy to get into?
I got into killzone because I was sick of the COD formula. I love lots of shooters, but I'm tired of the formula. By no means am I knocking Titanfall, I like the concept but the CORE gameplay, reloading, pace are not innovative. Its very hard to find a shooter that feels fundamentally different. What immediately caught me was t...
This is good for them. I can see that Sony is playing a part in their reversed strategies/policies. Even though I am getting a PS4, I'm a little bit more interested in getting an X1 down the road. Though, that was killed when Microsoft announced that they will not be making a kinect-less system anytime in the foreseeable future. Oh well, that didn't last long. Good to see all the big three are supporting indies.
No, the game is still going to be held back. With all the money allocated towards the development of Watch Dogs, there are resources need to be directed at the current gen versions. That's money, time & optimizations that are put in to make those versions work. This is why exclusive games always see bigger jumps than multi-platform. The developers have way more time to learn their system & don't go through the nuances & frustrations of different hardware. Just because its ...
What you mad? Is that why the xbox defense force came in droves? Titanfall is as innovative as Aliens Colonial Marines is a good game. Lmfao
Here we go again with the "woe is the developers" and "oh the poor Devs", like these dudes are struggling just the same as we are lol. I'm pretty sure a lot of them are making more than double the amount of the average citizen. Anyway, the sooner COD dies, the better the FPS genre will be. Maybe then we can finally get some innovation & real competition in the genre. With COD out the way, it will be a real interesting and competitive market with it's "can...
