I waa one of those backers as well, since I knew Sony wouldn't be interested in SOCOM anymore if they couldn't use it to go affer the Call of Duty crowd.

Well those to of course, I was only listing the ones that are my favorites. If I listed all of them, it would be a huge list:)
PS3 was always an underrated system by the competition's fans, its true its true. When in fact it is home to some of the best exclusives, from 3D Dot game heroes to Demons Souls, Killzone 2, and to Valkyrie chronicles, it had these excellent games when it really hit a stride during 2009.
Even now I am trying to catch up with all the greats on this system and many of the games still look decent on an HD TV.

We need this. There is nothing else like SOCOM.
Believe me I tried everything from CS Go to Sniper Elite 3, while searching. None of them were able to capture the same feeling of being in situation where it is you alone vs six others and barely pulling the win off by playing tactical, like using timed C4 explosives to take someone out and confuse the other team.
Well this is disappointing. If they did BC, it would have been one less talking point for the competition.
Obscenely addictive? That would be a great description of SOCOM.

PS2: SOCOM II: U.S. Navy Seals without hesitation.
PSP: SOCOM: Combined Assault, special mention Final Fantasy Crisis Core.
PS3: SOCOM Confrontation even with its problems. Although Dark Souls gave me likewise similar thrills. Special mention, Killzone 2.

Well said, at least Nintendo still supports the Wii U which has similar sales; unlike Sony with the poor forgotten Vita.

Yeah, that left a bad impression for many longtime fans like me. Probably is one of the major reasons why GT6 did so poorly in comparison to earlier games in the series.
The free online multiplayer is a good plus as well.
