Even if you don't like the game, you have to admit that it changed the face of modern FPS games, proving that narrative and an involving world can be possible, evolving the idea beyond your 'lets shoot everything that moves' idea of FPS gameplay. It did have it's flaws, but it did bring a lot to the genre.
Can't say I enjoyed the original, but if its been improved and added this might be worth a look in.
Surely if the device isn't perfect, but is still the strongest on the market, it doesn't warrant a perfect score.
4.5/5 would surely just be a courtesy rating, at least with 4/5 it gives room for other competitors or sticks. If it was a 5/5 and then another stick came out in the same period of time that was better, you can't have two 5/5 sticks on the market when one is better than the other.
I don't really understand how this is news... Wouldn't anybody be tired of talking about, and being compared to, a project they left years ago, especially when they've gone on to make some fantastic things.
Seems interesting, but I've been put off PS Move titles that are more mini game explosions. This has slightly re-kindled my interest though.
The incredible logo and artwork on FFXIII's EU box is incredible, and its just a complete disgrace it isn't even shown on the NA box art at all!
Ah the Spyro one was supposed to be an example of where NA and EU box art has it better, same with the Uncharted 2 one, but the vast majority of them are awful in comparison. The Ratchet and Clank games are another set that look better in NA than in JPN. I must say though, I cannot for the life of me understand why anybody would think the FF games look better with the NA box art, they all just look cheap.
Incredible quality stream... Pretty surprised it's so sharp!
Ah man I saw a big preview on this game and it looks immense. I'm kinda glad it initially got delayed as it's clearly turned out the better for it!
I'm always Wolf, and failing that Link. Wolf is just badass though.
Seeing as I never played the original Kid Icarus, my first experience of Pit comes with Super Smash Bros Brawl, and he was the biggest pain in the world to fight against. Nice article though =]
Wonder how Jaffe feels about it...
If I'm honest the lighting does look better but at night and on indoor scenes I prefer the standard skyrim, much clearer and easier to see the environment. Overall though I really couldn't care what the game looked like as its damn good fun.
Yeah its not a criticism at Capcom because it's free, but it is interesting to see that a piece of DLC may have come mostly pre-loaded onto the disk already. It isn't anything near as bad as the Gears of War 3 DLC issue.
Totally agree. That Kraft commercial was the best moment of that night, also the dramatic CES trailer was a particular highlight.
Thats obviously your opinion there. Kinect however doesn't track me at all as I'm too tall for it to accurately capture me unless its in a huge space. At least with PS Move it'll work in about a 4ft square space as opposed to a 6-8 (or in my case near 10) ft square area. Also, it doesn't matter if you have something in your hands or not, its a workout you aren't going to be doing much with them, + you'll have the slight added weight and resistance feedback with the Mov...
The large part of professional journalists don't care about the PSV prices for the cards, partly because they'll get them for free, but mostly because they know why they are pricey. The real dissatisfaction has come from the amateur press venting about its cost. The PSP was rife with piracy, and that didn't include any on board memory at all, in fact it was the same situation we are in now where you had to buy a separate Memory Stick Pro Duo to go with it. The PSP Go that came wit...
I really don't get why it doesn't have any onboard flash memory for games... But if I have the money I'll probably get one. Having played one already they are stupidly fun, and it has a strong launch line up in comparison to other consoles. If transferring my PSP games and saves is simple (and the price is reasonable) then I'd be more than happy to own one from day 1.
The lag has mostly gone for me, it crops up again in some large cities (like Solitude) and when traversing a mountain or something but its noticeably better. Have noticed new glitches though, when crouching sneaking crosshairs wont come up, or I stand up and they wont go away. Also had it when I keep moving forward for a while and then stop on the thumbstick my character will keep running unless I stop them via jumping or swinging a sword.
This man is a badass with a beard. I'm kinda disappointed that Conviction didn't turn out like the concept gameplay first suggested. That would have been one amazing Splinter Cell to play.
