You and others with your theories here need to read this:

It's exclusive to Canada! What difference will it make when it's exclusive to one country?
Too many people jump the gun here on N4G.
The Wii mini is a canada exclusive so there shouldn't be much confusion...unless you live in canada of course :P
I do agree that it looks nice with the retro vibe it has.
This is cringeworthy! I know it's PR and he's trying to sell the WiiU, but still...
Nintendo, please learn from Sony circa 2005. Their cockyness did not go over well with anyone. They were taught a lesson by gamers to not act bigger than they are. The same could happen to you.
@everyone above and a select few below
What did you expect him to say? "Yeah, the graphics on WiiU, at best, match those of the cheaper Xbox 360. Our platform has framerate drops too, but hey, whatcha gonna do?"
He's trying to sell the damn console. Why would he say it's worse than the 360? Good grief!
Talk about overreacting...
@Akuma
You quoted this; "Not to mention, over 130 gaming studios have closed this gen due to extremely high development costs. '' but you never answered it.
It's all well and good wanting the big jump in graphics and as you say, there are people out there willing to pay the price, but what will you do when many of our loved developers have to close because of high development costs?
This Gen has shown how easy it is for some...
If they were still working on them, then the console wasn't ready to be released.
I love Nintendo, but there is no excuse for that 1GB update.
I miss Kenan and Kel :(
Dammit Nickelodeon... Why you no release DVD Boxsetz???
"Sorry, Nerd, but the large update should have shipped on the systems and furthermore it takes up a large chunk of the basic system's 8GB internal HDD. "
I was thinking the exact same thing. It's not a deal breaker for me, but Miiverse and everything else in that update should have been there from day 1 in the OS.
Yeah, you're right. But there's a line. When you start going into every PS3/360/WiiU article, just to trash it (Mika) then those people need to find something better to do.
I'm not against people having different opinions, just those who repeat their opinions blindly in every single Sony/MS/Nintendo article here.
It's one of the reasons why the open zone needs to return on N4G.
He is 100% right. As a 360/PS3 owner, I think the hate on Nintendo is petty and childish. If it doesn't interest you, fair enough. Nothing wrong in that, but to go into every WiiU article, hating and repeating the same tired crap again and again is just plain sad. Those doing that need to find something to do in life as they've clearly got issues.
I'm still getting a WiiU. It looks great. I'll also pick up Sony/MS' next gen offerings too. All this crap abo...
It's fantastic! It's how Resident Evil 6 should have been. It's a good 10-15 hours depending on the difficulty level you choose.
I still own it on 3DS and if it comes to consoles, I'll buy it again.
Turning RGB to full range degrades the picture quality on a HDTV. You're making the image worse, not better.
Stop trying to match the 360s darker image! The PS3 is how it should look!
Please do some research! You should calibrate your tv too with a calibration disc. If you did, your games would look better than these comparisons as you'll see a lot more detail, with a lot more natural colours.
It baffles me that people spend hundreds...
Guys, please tell me your PS3s aren't set to RGB Full? It Should be on limited when connected to a TV and Full on a PC Monitor.
Exactly. I wished more people knew it is actually a fault with the 360's gpu. With proper calibration of your TV set though, you can correct it. Too many PS3 owners are trying to match the 360's darker image when the PS3 version has the correct image.
No, don't do this! The PS3 version is how it's supposed to look. The 360 version is wrong.
It's the 360 version where people need to turn their brightness up as it crushes blacks and detail within shadows etc. it's a known issue with it's gpu. Some devs correct it but most don't.
Also, PS3 users, turn RGB Full off. It should be set to limited unless you're using a PC Monitor. Stop trying to match the 360 image's darkness as you...
"That is why a GTA game has never been and never will be on a nintendo console."
What about GTA Chinatown Wars? That was M rated and was designed specifically with the DS in mind. It sold more on DS then it did on PSP too.
I'm a Nintendo gamer (not exclusively though) and I wouldn't say that Arkham City and ME3 don't appeal to me. They do. Quite alot in fact. The issue I have though, is I've already played them on PS3/360. While these seem to have been good ports, they're just too old now in my opinion.
Obviously, Wii exclusive gamers will get a treat, but for myself, not so much.
Still, ZombiU and Mario will keep me entertained next week on launch day, wit...
I attempted to change the topic when you called me out? Erm...
"I expected that a brand new console that costs more than a 360 would be able to at the absolute bare minimum match an ancient 7 year old machine. "
"Regardless of ANY of those factors, Wii U should be beating up the other consoles but it can't because there is no leap. Not even a babystep."
"Lets not have these excuses and accept that Nintendo have bu...
You want to learn to calm down. Getting all annoyed over my post above.
Also, since when did EA hinting at a release, mean it was in development?
We don't even know the full specs of the WiiU, or how it will overcome it's bottlenecks. Too many people are jumping the gun, ready to spell doom and gloom on this site.
I expected no less though, I called it weeks ago in one of the "Vita is doomed" articles. Can't wait until ...
I wished the PS3/360 only crowd would try the Wii U.
When I tried mine when it arrived today, it felt weird. For the first 30 mins, I wondered if I made the wrong decision in purchasing it. An hour later and after playing multiple titles with it though, you really do see just how great it is.
It isn't something you can try for 5 mins on an instore demo unit. You need at least an hour with it to fully understand why many think Nintendo is on to something...
