I dont know about GOTY, but if it gets put into the discussion than that can only mean great things for future handheld titles. As for GOTY, I think many forget God of War 2 came out this year, surprised not many people bring it up.

Read somewhere today with those new financial reports that the PS3 has sold 5.6M world wide, which is about the same as the X360 over the same span and I dont remember hearing how the X360 was doing so horrible.
I think most people expect the PS3 to be a jaggernaught out of the gate selling 20M a year or something like that when it's just not gonna happen for a year or two more, and seriously by then it could be too late. People compare the sales of the PS3 to the PS2 WAY too ...

At this point sports games from EA running at half the FPS on the PS3 than the X360 isn't news. When the PS3 version hits 60FPS then we have some news. But I thought EA said that starting with some game this fall that all PS3 games would be running at 60 FPS?, guess we have a whole year to wait to see if that holds true with NCAA and Madden cause in the end those are the only two EA Sports Games that matter to a large majority.

Games barely cost $10M? I could easily see GTA4s budget being over $20M.

people look at price first. it STILL would of have been $600. this holiday season they have a chance to have a $400 and $500 SKU if they also come out with a true price cut.

Killzone 2, MGS4, GTA 4.. why exactly was this moved to Spring 08? They do want this to sell right? They had an open door this holiday on the PS3 and now they put it into a cluster**** of heavy hitters..
Why would Ted want to leave? Didnt he already leave Sony to form this studio? Why would he want to leave his OWN studio to start yet another one? He already has the freedom to do whatever he wants in terms of IPs and development. So this makes NO sense to me, like I said it's just a counter to the Bungie claims.
An okay set list in my eyes. I still dont see this selling well, GH3 is going to eat up most of Rock Bands sales, especially with next gen consoles.. and that's not even factoring in the price. I'm sure most of the sales will come from the PS2 version because X360 and PS3 have too many good titles coming out that people wont pass over.
What would you rather spend $160+ on.. Rock Band OR 3 of the following: Halo 3, Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, Haze, Uncharted, Rachet, Call of ...
