Why must a game have online these days? Did it hurt Bioshock? No.
I just laugh when I hear people say games like God of War, Uncharted, Bioshock, etc. should have online play just to have it.
It was originally 5 maps, they have since then added 2 maps and with the release date being September, there's a chance they'll add more.
You obviously havent followed this game because it was originally gonna be five maps and you must of missed where they are packing in the Sony bluethooth headset with this game.
SOCOM, LBP and Killzone 2 all in the same month? I dont think so.
Why does everyone think it was coming in July? Because of some PSN release list leak? Did anyone give a second thought to that might of meant a beta?
@ 6.2 Its 7 maps now and with all the community aspects they plan to tie into the game I can see why its taking that long, they had to create all of it from scratch.
Open beta will probably be July.

There's only been on WW2 game set in the Pacific, so to say all the spots of WW2 are covered is wrong.
Their ideas for WW1 and Vietnam are the best.
Sony plans to advertise the crap out of it, and I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being an exclusive advertising deal, much like the Assassins Creed advertising.
Any way you look at it Rockstar is laughing all the way to the bank with both Sony and MSoft willing to throw tons of money at them for simple things.
I've been saying this for awhile now, the average consumers hears GTA and thinks Playstation, it's gonna make a difference, it might not push the PS3 over the X360 but it's not gonna be a X360 landslide either. My cousin is a perfect example, he asks me the other week "When is the new GTA coming out?. This is a taste of GT5 because the full game is still a year off, if not more, because they're so anal about perfection.
So take away time and resources from making an excellent single player game to make an average single player game, with an average online game? Yeah sounds like a real winner in my eyes. How does a average game with both sp/mp become a better buy than a excellent single player game?
