I think it's just a lot of backlash, xbox 360 has a storied history with hardware failure, so whenever that sort of thing happens in the competition it gets hyperpublicized. It's a crappy situation, no doubt, but I think that if people were putting up 'articles' every time their 360 crapped out you'd have a little more accurate representation of the discrepancy.
As a side not the HHG site is garbage, whether it's pro xbox or pro PS or pro Wii or pro OnLive or whatever, it always ...
It's hard to tell from the trailer but it looks like the graphics for characters are a fair bit better, can't wait to see some high res screenshots.
that guy looks a little haggard if you ask me, i'm not sure i trust him.
No vehicles unless you're talking about vehicles on new maps, the current maps just don't work with vehicles.
Ummmm, I guess it's a good think I didn't say Post-punk then?
You know what's really rare in games? Post-Rock
Games need more Post-Rock Math-Rock and Indie-Pop
or Noise-rock like Melt-Banana or Lightning Bolt.
Really the last thing I want to listen to in a game, or anywhere else for that matter, is Metal.
Some Good electronica would be nice too as mentioned above. Something Like **** Buttons
Umm, I've actually seen all of these before. A long time ago too.
They're definitely decked out but i'm not entirely convinced they're military.
Mabinogi Heroes looks really interesting as it seems to be developing gameplay beyond just "kill them dudes ovar thar"
I do like the style moving towards more action-oriented combat. That level of interactivity in combat combined with significant leveling rewards would do a lot to alleviating the tedium of 'grinding'. This would be especially true if they could make boss battles truly engaging and provided a large number of enemies that required different strategies.
Not to knock your point but i really preferred Silent Hill 2
I find it kind of hard to believe that it would run better and look better on PS3 than PC. Although to be fair, CoD4 suffered at high resolutions, suffered quite a bit.
I hate statistics for the reason that they can often provide misleading impressions. People start thinking that these statistics imply things, when they in fact imply nothing. Furthermore in many cases only the results are presented to laymen, not the details of the procedure.
I mean, one can look at the statistic that white males 18-35 control 60% of 'the money' (i made the number up) and they might be drawn to the conclusion that we are part of a racist, sexist, ageist society...
A lot of what they improved wouldn't be possible in-game. But the detail surface would be nice and apparently they're working on getting accurate planar reflections going (the puddle was faked for the ad but in the future it sounds like they'll have it nailed down).
I am going to say that in some places the "just-lighting" buffer looked a might bit more impressive than it did with the textures on, the post-process was very welcome but sometimes it seems that the texture...
To be fair when I play an RPG i find the good path offers way more benefits, so I usually go good.
Yknow, unless Infinity Ward screws the pooch.
yeah, I don't think the voice chat is going to work cross game or in-game. From the interface and the fact that xgame text is being implemented, i think they are actively working on getting xgame audio in, it's just a lot more difficult.
Talking crap about graphics is the cool new fad I guess.
You're right, it's not a fair comparison, Crytek haven't developed a specific visual style for the tech demo, neither have they developed appropriate assets and art resources. Just wait until we actually have games coming out.
Talking about Unreal Engine 4, It would have to be seen just what the quality is on UE4 to be able to make any comparison but I think it's important to note that if you look at CE3 specs there are a number of features there not being implemented (i assume due to hardware limitations)on this generation of console. We haven't seen a maxed CE3 yet, we haven't even seen a PC CE3 yet. I hope we do soon as I reckon it might just rock socks off.
That's awesome, won't have to worry about splitting populations and crap.
