Me like Sucker Punch. Me like see more game from Suckers Punches. Make me more games, prz.
Super Sprint was the greatest of all time! Kidding.
NFS and GT.

Well thought out and level-headed argument. +bubbs. This article's premise is a wonderful example of logical fallacy.
Using the same logic the author used, we can thus come with one conclusion:
All games delayed will sell poorly.
Add in another gaming example and we can further expand the errors in this form of logic:
Halo 3 was neither rushed nor delayed and was successful because of this.
I can, somewhat, understand a dev using an engine like that provided their doing it to focus on the gameplay (learning the ins and outs of motion control). For some of them, it's very new.
I agree. I've always found it easier to breathe into a bag and hold that. It keeps your breath from slipping between your fingers.

Pfft, Haze's biggest flaw was that the control was mediocre and the dialogue is among some of the worst ever. Cheeeeeeeezzzzzzyyyyyyy. The dialogue killed the game in the first 15 minutes.
Haze was just awful. There's no way to get around it.
Possible small spoilers if you haven't completely finished games FF 7-13 (save XI, which is harder than all other FFs combined).
I suggest you attempt the grind and fight Long Gui. Without the right planning and setup, you will die every time. He was harder than any boss in 7, 8, 9, X, X-2, or XII. All of those could be cheaply defeated with ease.
Knights of the Round + Stop summon raped Ruby and Emerald. Hero/Holy War killed everything in 8 (or j...
The reason for 3 only applied for completionists of the game and is only used quickly before strong attacks like some of the final marks or Long Gui. It's changed out of immediately after the attack. For those who didn't play or didn't get that serious about it, you can youtube MasterLL.
He has many great vids for RPGs (some of the most complete files I've ever seen--truly dedicated to the genre) and his FFXIII vids are great and show the setups and great ...

Don't be silly. Your comment doesn't even relate to his point or do anything to prove one for yourself.
His point was regarding the nostalgia people hold for the old cars, not the increased libido people get as a side-effect. And he's right about that. Just because YOU aren't old enough to have/remember playing the original Zelda when it was first released doesn't mean the same for everyone else. Or the original FF (still would lik...

Sega got effin' robbed.
"In what amounts to some very positive news for Sony, it appears sales of the PlayStation Move are on the way up with some major North American retailers."
This article is so full of complete fail.
Whoever approved this article should have their approval license revoked. What's next, "Since Microsoft and Sony's merger last year, the sales of the MicroStation have reached the 20 million mark."???

Would an improvement like that really be called innovation? If so, then every time a dev borrows an idea from another game and makes it more fluid = innovation? And not just your run of the mill type, but such that it's considered one of the most innovative things ever in gaming?
Why not just put "the controller" then?
I'm actually surprised the console didn't make the list since it brought games to a much more affordable market for those who couldn't afford a PC.
I think adding story to games was an early innovation. I wonder what the first storyline based game was.
Question for Colonel-Killzone and others:
In a sense, the entire list could be written off as the natural advent of gaming...
Bonus Double Achievement: "Eat A Friend's Burger"! How can you lose?
For those of us old enough to remember, the list sure was a good trip down memory lane. I might just have to get some of them on emulator.
For the most part, I liked the list, but Bomberman 2? Really? Over MGS? Over GT? Over Halo? Over Half Life? No Dragon Quest. No Tekken 3? No Star Ocean?
And what about Pong? For classics, how can you ignore that game?
True, but you can tune up that expensive car just as well and with them usually having the bigger engine, even further. It's just cheaper to do on a Civic given the lower base price. But talking about cars in terms of tuning will ultimately lead to many, many arguments depending on what you want (straight line racing vs track, etc). I didn't mention that because it opens up a whole can of worms that just sidetracks the point:
"The most annoying thing on N4G: P...
He's an idiot. I guess that's why the level of quality of SE games has improved so much since they started this focus...
They should just stick to what they know best: the Japanese culture. The quality wasn't even comparable. Nomura should be the head of SE.
@Quag
Why the hate on Tekken 6? It's the most balanced Tekken to date. Finally, the overpowered Mishimas have been knocked off their silly perch. It got so old seeing them at the top of every Tekken ever made.
The biggest problem for Tekken is that the feel hasn't changed much since 3. Well, that and Namco should make a TTT: 2 since all of the fans are asking for it.
