doesn't take a genius to figure out where these disagrees are coming from. "you mean god of war 3 isn't the greatest game ever made?!? wtfzors?" uh no...it's gow 2 in HD and it has no reason to exist. the puzzles solve themselves, the enemies are practically all the same, the boss fights are lack luster, the best part of the game happens in the first 20 minutes, and the combat is BORING!

the guy clearly loves the halo franchise and is obviously quite familiar with the story, so even if he likes sony, it has NOTHING to do with it. second, the article is rather well written and the points he makes are spot on. i felt EXACTLY the same way while playing it.

the game is a blast...the challenges keep you coming back for more
while the gears 2 co-op was incredibly fun, the multiplayer in gears 1 is what brought me back to the series. and after promise after promise that they fixed all the issues in the 2nd game, i was sold. now that i know they are liars i will definitely be waiting til long after launch before i decide what i'm going to do about gears 3. if it's another laggy mess, it'll be a bargain bin or rental for me.

he got caught by the host of the show after he hyped it for being this amazing, unique thing. the host said "sorta like left for dead." what else could the developer do but concede that there actually wasn't a unique concept in the multiplayer. then he used a li'l pr/marketing strategy to spin it in his favor...which apparently worked on you.

i won't get into the quality of the single player, since i never played it. i did play the first one, however. and i can safely say that it wasn't the least bit scary. ugly monsters jumping around corners =/= scary. you see it once...
