Fun, that's all that matters. If you're enjoying it, who cares if people think it's worth it or not. It's only worth it if you say so.
Well, I doubt they put a whole lot of R&D into this model. I mean, the only real difference between this and the previous ones seems to be that it's smaller, lacks a UMD, a sliding interface, and has a larger HDD.
Everything else is the same, so it's not like they have a lot of expenses to make up for, apparently.

I don't think HOME is the real problem here. I think the real problem lies i companies like Capcom, who charge for Alternate costumes for fighters. Stuff that should have came on the disc. Or how about multiplayer for RE5? Yes, that too should have came with the game. That stuff I have a bigger problem with more so than added items for your avatars on XBL or PSN's Home.
Yeah it can be stupid, but it does add some enjoyment. I'll use an example from LBP. Tomorrow, they are introducing Pirates of the Caribbean Costumes. As a huge fan of that trilogy, I don't mind spending money to buy them. Of course it probably didn't cost MM a whole lot to make the costumes, but my love for that franchise overcomes my hate for buying the costumes themselves.

Okay, well all I can go by is what I read on the net. No, I don't have the game. I do own CoD4 and because of all the frustration online with that game, I did not pick this one up day 1, and haven't yet to this day. I may get this sometime down the road, after these problems are sorted out.
I don't know what Sony plans to do. If they really do have their ear to their audience, they wouldn't dare charge for the current service. Sure it does it's job, but it's not worth a subscription fee, neither is XBL's IMO.
I have heard many times over, that advertising alone can cover any expenses. What boggles my mind is how XBL charges for a service and still throws Ads in your face. Obviously they want to make a profit, but ads on top of a subscription fee have to be infuriat...
That's fine, your right I didn't know that. I did own a 360 until the PS3 came out. But having to buy another system because your scared your current one might die is ludicrous and a waste of money IMO
Since HOME as a service is free, i can understand them charging for certain items. I don't buy them myself, but it makes sense.
XBL is different. If you're already paying for the service, shouldn't most of the avatar clothing be free? As well as themes and wallpapers well.

I don't think we have enough articles about this. IW and Activision made a killing on this game and deserve the backlash.
I played EQ for over two years and as much as I enjoyed it, sort of wish I could get that part of my life back. Either way it's the first MMORPG I ever really got into, I'm not even going to bother with WoW cuz I'd have to just kiss my GF goodbye right now
Nice to see Flower and Demon's Souls get the nod. Two games I am enjoying very much ATM. Uncharted 2 winning GOTY is almost a given at this point, i can't remember a game where I didn't mind beating it over and over, 5 times to be exact. One of those games where you forget it's a game and at times feels like your a part of a blockbuster movie.
And don't forget, Bungie has lied To us before.

I tried the demo for LOTR:Conquest in Gamestop and I gotta say, there are a lot of PS2 games with better graphics. There really is nothing redeeming at all about it.
They wouldn't dare do a sequel to that crap. The story wasn't horrible but the gameplay and fighting mechanics were. Not to mention the repetitive enemies and boss fights which never seemed to end.
I can't get over how bad the new character model for the Prince looks. They need to go back to that gritty hardcore look they had in the first 3. I can't believe how far the Prince has fallen lately, he used to be one of my favorite heroes.
Of course they won't get rid of him, who else are they going to name their games after? Tiger Woods IS golf, plain and simple. Without him, it wouldn't get half the publicity it gets now. Now that he's an unfaithful man whore he is going to get more publicity than he ever wanted and so will every tournament he plays in.

I just got done playing KZ2 for 2 hours on the new map packs. There isn't a better shooter out there. No game beats it's atmosphere and realism. Not even close. Dedicated servers are a major plus as well.
