"When and If" this is released for the PS3, i'll pick it up. I have not touched GTA4 since Trophies were introduced and this would just give me another reason to do so.
I don't despise GTA4 at all, but it could have been better.
Notable Snubs:
PS3: Killzone 2, Ratchet and Clank FTOD, Maybe even Burnout Paradise
X360: Bioshock
Xbox: Halo
PS2: Shadow of the Colossus and Twisted Metal Black
Going Way Back, Games That Wowed Me Graphically:
StarFox 64) , Mario 64, Waverace, Zelda: Ocarina of Time
SNES: Donkey Kong Country (Most Wowing experience probably ever
PS1: FF7
Genesis: MK3, Road Rash
If i'm not mistaken, most of the gameplay we've seen was on the PC, as far as Alan Wake goes. (They used a 360 controller)
Looks good, here's hoping the atmosphere and gameplay is as good as the first one. Please don't let the multiplayer screw this one up.
After purchasing all 3 map packs, I can't argue with this pick. I can't think of a game that's more addicting, maybe Uncharted 2.
Loved the first one, I just wish they didn't waste disc data on multiplayer.
Just make it like Dead Space, Problem solved.
We don't know how good any of these games are going to be yet, and he's already calling them AAA. I will say Mass Effect prob will be, Splinter Cell/Crackdown 2 - maybe, and Alan Wake - doubtful. My predictions.
Not shocking, but surprising none the less. It's hard to comprehend considering how universal the internet, electricty, television, etc are and that some places still can't afford those luxuries.
So how does one go about earning pure white/pure black without events like this?
Has this person never heard of God of War, Gran Turismo, or the 15+ other 1st Party studios sony has? guess not
PS2 is a money maker and helps support the PS3/PSN at the moment, they would be foolish to kill it now.
One of my college friends had to go back to her native land, Kenya, in the middle of the semester. She told me she would be out of contact completely because they did not have the internet. Hard to believe in this day and age. I feel extremely lucky to be an American, I don't care what anyone says.
Not many companies support a system nearly this long. I always shake my head when I read about anti-Sony/PS3 articles. Sony has always treated their customers pretty good in my book.
PS - I never knew about PS2's problems until I came here. I owned the fatty and the slim.
Agree Agree Agree but also put Twisted Metal Black and War of the Monsters on there. Also, Dark Cloud.
Judging this game prematurely based what i've read around the internet, SE focused too much on the graphics and how it looks more so than gameplay, depth, etc. I find this has happened with a lot of games this generation. Never have we have had consoles powerful enough to provide this much realism so developers seem to take advantage of that and completely forget about what makes a game great, the gameplay, story, and fun factor.
If the game was sold for $40 or under I would disagree, but at $60 it definitely doesn't look good on Bungie's part.
Neither looks that great, but good enough IMO. As long as the gameplay is there, i won't mind too much. I will definitely give this a shot. Calling this a God of War killer is ridiculous, but that doesn't take away from it's potential fun factor.
IMO Mass Effect is Microsoft's (At the Moment) 3rd or 4th most popular franchise behind Halo, Gears, and Maybe Left 4 Dead. Plus, they have always been very popular with the PC crowd. Confidence is fine, arrogance is not, no matter how elite you are perceived.
I'd like to know how far you can travel and still stay connected. Very impressive none the less indeed.
