I'm considering upgrading from my white xbox 360 to this black one. I upgraded the drive on my original fat PS3 from 60 to 500. And I'm actually a little concerned that in 2 or 3 years time, it'll fill up.
The mandatory installs on that platform suck. Resident Evil 5 gigs lol. Bioshock 5 gigs. It adds up.
On the 360, I think it'll be sufficient the 250 gigs. But I think Microsoft will come out with a 500 gig for those that want to take the plunge.
It is looking good. I loved seeing the sick air combos people were pulling off. And the gruesomeness is definitely there. But I just hope the fighting mechanics are there. People seem to just focus on the gore. Any game can be gorey. A good fighting game has to have a balance of everything. But it looks like its on the right track.
What I'm really intrigued and interested to know more is the story for it.
I agree. I liked MK vs DC a lot. Sometimes as developers, you gotta explore and try new things. And they had a great opportunity to do MK vs DC. I thought it was great. I don't need there to be gore in every game. The fighting was excellent. And glad to see they kept it and just expanded on it.
I mean how often are you going to get a vs game with MK and DC? I thought it was pretty cool.

Then why does a PS3 play PS1 games? Why are they selling PS1 games at the store? TO say a PS3 is just a PS3 is plain ignorant. I sold my ps2 back in the day to help with the ridiculous cost of the 60 gig. Yeah the 60 gig is worth every pennny. I have a system that plays and does everything. I wouldn't want another system like the PS2 to clutter my already over crowded room.
People can say all they want that PS2 games are old and blah blah blah. But there are still some excellent games that still hold up after all this time. Metal Gear Solid 2, 3 come to mind. Soul Caliber 2,3, Tekken 5, Twisted Metal Black, GTA, and the list goes on and on.
I'm not jumping on this 3d band wagon. I don't care how good the games look. SO I'm suppose to wear these glasses when I'm at home lol? Its a fricken a joke. What if I have friends over. Then I need glasses for them as well? And you can't get the crappy paper 3d glasses, you have to get the real nice kind. Which of course they will sell at a ridiculous price.

Ok so far it looked excellent. It looks like they are going back to what works. I hope they expand even further from their past games. Specifically like their clothes being torn and getting bruises and blood. I thought it was cool that in MK vs DC every one can get beaten to a bloody pulp and it showed it pretty good. Even if you won the fight, your clothes were torn. I really hope they do that and just go further into it.

I'm thoroughly enjoying Red Dead Redemption. Think the game so far is a big contender for game of the year. Can't really say too many bad things about it.
As for GTA IV, I think it was an excellent game as well. Sure there were a lot of tedious task and missions. But most of the game was excellent in my opinion. Loved every second of it. And even played GTA IV again when they patched it and released trophies for it for the PS3 version.
An amazing game. I've only started playing but can' t wait to spend countless hours on it.
Multiplayer is robust with a seemingly end amount of modes. I only played the Team Deathmatch and Grab Bag playlist but it was fun as hell.
Excellent game. Rockstar, in my opinion, has some of the best game programmers in the industry to be able to pull of what they do. I have to give them their props.

This is very dissappointing. I enjoyed the first game a lot. I think I'll still check it out, but what were they thinking with the saves? Why wouldn't they allow you to save a little more often? Did they not learn from Dead Rising 4 years ago?

I'll be picking up the actual disc version of stories from Liberty City. Even though I upgraded my PS3 hard drive to 500 gigs, I still like having the physical product over downloads.
With that being said, I think Rockstar did an exceptional job with the main game and both DLC. It's hard to pick and choose which one is better because both DLC and the main game are part of a collective vision.

Also forgot to mention that this game started the whole Co-Op Revolution. At the time of the first game, really no game as any sort of online Co-op. Only offline split screen. Once this game came out, then every game started on the online Co-op.

I agree with Acekilla. I played both games with the same person and it makes it much more enjoyable.
It'll end the story arc but not the series. I think the series will continue. Just look what Epic has done with the Unreal Tournamet series.
I can see future games having an all new cast with Marcus (and Dom if he survives) thrown in there for cameos or supporting roles.

I agree with the Article saying better voice chat. That's where the 360 is superior in that aspect. Online chat on the 360 is flawless, while on the PS3 its average.
But my most important thing I'd like to see is Backwards Compatability on all previous systems games. That's a must.

I have both systems and love Uncharted. But Uncharted 2 still needs to grown in terms of the multiplayer. It's fun and addicting. But Gears and Gears 2 are still superior I believe.
Not only that, Gears 3 will sell good on the PS3, but not Xbox numbers. Especially considering the other 2 games are exclusive to Xbox, a lot of people might not want to buy a game in the third series without knowing the story already.

I hope they learned a lot about the glitches and overall network with their multiplayer from Gears 2. Hopefully the multiplayer will run a little smoother with a better ranking system.
As for the campaign, so far I loved the first two games, so I really can't wait to see where the story for this game takes us and unfolds. I hope we actually see Marcus Dad this time.
