Yep totally, there's nothing goofy or over-the-top to satirize in European culture. Nothing goofy at all about French, Italian, English, German, or Irish culture. Nope. Nothing goofy about faerie folk or leprechauns.

And you're totally right about the US being the wild west. Whenever I walk outside I get shot at. It's nuts. Had to duel someone just to get to my mail box. The other day I ran a stop sign and the police immediately lit up my car in a hail of gunfir...

I was replying to the claim that people are brainwashed to hate unions. I disagree with that statement. "Brainwashed" is used all the time in politics to describe opposing views. It's the "everyone is a sheep but me" mentality and I think it's not helpful.

@LucasRuinedChildhood

Brainwashed? Or maybe people just have differing opinions and experiences regarding unions?

My opinion - I don't like unions. Sorry, I don't. I think they have too much power and have personally had terrible experiences with them.

I don't need them representing me and taking money from my paycheck. I've been to school, graduated from university, have a great job and healthcare cause I'm good at ...

Not just companies. We all need to be aware. China's continued development of ASAT systems and hypersonic weapons should be alarming to everyone. They now have first strike capabilities and could easily destabilize the East-Asia region.

So whether it's Tencent, ByteDance or whatever, I don't want any of it. I won't support them.

The big difference is many Chinese corporations are in bed with the Chinese government, a government which is incredibly corrupt and evil. I try my best to not support them.

I say this as someone who is as far from being a Marvel fan as you can get... Guardians of the Galaxy is a great game with excellent writing and characters. It honestly surprised me. Better than the films, which I think are overrated.

Censorship? No one here is suggesting that this game should be censored.

Problem is that many people, including myself, get horrible motion sickness with VR. And I'm not about to take motion sickness tablets for every gaming session. So it's not the future for me.

Very cool tech but I can't enjoy it, unfortunately.

Edit: I'll also add that gaming with a VR headset strapped to my face is not comfortable imo. Prefer TV.

7/10 seems fair. Gameplay feels like a step back from 5. Game world is basically Just Cause but in first person. And the plot and characters are forgettable.

Fun game but 3 remains best.

I mean... if someone bought these games digitally then it's still in their library. I can download and play my copy of GTA 3 from Steam at anytime.

And as @Atom666 pointed out, they haven't printed a new physical copy in years...

@arkard
Never found the story or lore of DA interesting. Inquisition was just generic evil dude with demon army wants to conquer world and you're the chosen one.

@jeromeface
I've played through Witcher 3 once, at the same time I was playing DA Inquisition. Hence the example. I never finished Inquisition and went on to complete Witcher 3.

I've never been able to complete a Dragon Age game. They always felt too rigid in design. I eventually think "why am I playing this over Witcher 3?" or pretty much any other rpg.

Somehow I'm not surprised that Ubisoft writes Anton as being fascist even though the game is based on present day Cuba.

But it doesn't matter. All dictators are the same, whether "communist" or "fascist". Two sides of the same coin.

I enjoy Far Cry 2 and even played it again recently. That said, lots of Far Cry fans definitely look at it through rose tinted glasses. Whole game is pretty much: Find a car > drive 20 feet > get shot to hell > get shot while fixing car > get back in car and immediately get shot up > get run over while fixing car again.

Gotta agree. I have a 2080Ti and have yet to play a game with ray tracing that looked significantly better. I can see a difference but it's hardly enough to justify the fps drop.

I don't get why people are obsessed with it.

My bar for a 10/10 game is RDR2 on PS4. I've never had a crash, glitch, or any bug while playing it. I know some people disliked the slower pace and realism, but I loved it. My favorite game last gen, easily.

A couple days ago Xbox core services went down. When I turned on my Xbox One I was unable to login. Not a big deal, I mostly play singleplayer... Then I tried to play Saints Row 1. I couldn't load my save file cause I wasn't logged in. None of my backwards compatible games would load because I wasn't logged in.

How is that acceptable?

And btw I play games that are 15+ years old. Many people do. Just played System Shock 2 recently.

@Aphelion82

It's not about the delivery method. Whether a game is installed via disc or internet doesn't matter to me. What many gamers like myself don't like is needing a connection to *play* after it's installed.
