Everyone keeps mentioning this lag, but none of the news articles I have read from respectable sites have mentioned anything about it. They have only mentioned the high precision and boring gameplay. No lag. Movies I have seen on the web show nothing of it either. I must have missed the screw-ups.

Japanese people love American products, just not electronics. And that is for good reason, the same reason why Japanese products are popular abroad. As a poster said above, iPod is an exception. Also, American movies and TV dramas are beyond popular here. Foreign food also happens to be a favorite amongst the masses. Just like any country, they pick and choose what they like.
Porting it to that "prision punishment device" would actually save it. I am sure you want to root for your favored device, but claiming the Wii is anything but a "Nintendo only" club is just futile. I am sure the sequel controls well and all, but putting it on the Wii was their second mistake. The only way to save that franchise will be to put it on a machine that does not cater to the casual audience.

As to why IGN even has a final score when none of their breakdown scores average out? I never really saw the point of that in the 10+ years I have been viewing them. It is nice to see this game is turning out to be what the demo felt like. Might pick up a copy down the line if Red Dead turns out to be...dead.
By the by, how hard it is to link the PS3 review score of the game to the PS3 section of this site?
If they were to lower the price of it, then maybe it would sell more to the older audience. I am 28 myself and I would still get the 3000 over the Go, mainly because of the price difference.

If that is what they basing the review off of, I would suggest readers to ignore it. I have never grown accustomed to the changes implemented since VI, but I have dealt with them. If that is your only concern, you have nothing to worry about. As many have stated, the battle system is the best part of the game. Even long drawn out battles are rewarding enough to demand your continuous time.
