I am just about to reach 90 hours on my PS3 copy. I just reached level 19 and am able to complete the last campaign quest should I desire to. I have collected only 30% of the trophies at this point though. Why? Because this is a game that commands your attention and will control you if you allow it to. Someone that cannot even make an attempt to use proper punctuation and spelling should not be allowed to approve or disapprove articles for any website, no matter their reputation. The fact that he acknowledges that he approved it based on it being "legit" is reason enough to suspend his ability. This is not news, it's some kids opinion on a company he seems to dislike.
If one game among thousands is raised $10, then this game is not the game that should be raised. While I do not mind the price hike in general, Modern Warfare 2 is not nearly as important as the company thinks it is. There are many other FPS games out there that can match, if not one-up this series. I would much rather wait for M.A.G. or Bad Company 2. Hell, even Operation Flashpoint is looking more entertaining than this game.
Why does this company, and the community for that matter, think themselves (Valve) so great when they have only two franchises under their belts? Only one of which is considered a classic. I would understand if it were Square or Capcom, but Valve?
Please do enlighten us with what Valve is actually known for besides Half Life and Left 4 Dead. Seriously, I could direct you to a horde of casual gamers who do not know who the company is. Just because they are popular with geeks on a website does not mean they are the next Nintendo.

I am not sure I would jump at it though. I have a few games that I do not even really play as it is. It doesn't really sound like Sony to have unlimited downloading for a flat rate either.
The majority of the twits here would still pirate this game even if it were cheaper than the rest. Why? Because they think Activision, and the world no doubt, owe them. Sad how society works these days.

I am not going to say it "sucks." I personally cannot see why it is so popular though. I have played both the first and second, and I will say it can be fun at times. I have only played a smidge of the third installment because only one of my friends has a 360. I wasn't impressed by how it looked, and it played about the same as the first two. Before my PS3, I had owned everyone of Nintendo's consoles growing up. I had also had a Dreamcast, but that was quickly sold off to buy a Gamecube. And while my change to a different company is not really important, I must say that from the sidelines I could never really associate the Playstation brand with one specific title or brand. To me that is exactly the opposite of what both previous systems were. What made them so popular, in my opinion, was how many various titles both of them had. ...

I wish my wife saw it that way too. Unfortunately her father was also one of those family men and therefore spoiled her rotten. Maybe someday she will realize how lucky she might be. Her father tells her often enough, you would think she would get it.
Sounds very promising, but I do not think it will do well with the kids. Not being able to go back after you make a mistake will cause an uproar with the intolerant attitudes most seem to have these days.
Are what will make me want to play Fallout 3 again after I beat it the first time, or IF I ever do. This game has consumed 70 hours of my life and I have only gotten through about 20% of it. Awesome game though!
