Even 4K is a waste of resources. You need to have a 60" TV and sit pretty near to notice the difference. Give me 1440P@60HZ and better IA, physics and bigger worlds

Let's take the Xbox 360 pricing as a base, a console with great hardware and reception. It was $399 in Nov 2005. In November 2020, that price adjusted for inflation is $520. So, next gen will be $499-$549, with $499 very likely. And that's OK.

Na, you can pick a cheap Xbox One / PS4 used for $150-170 and play a backlog of thousands of games.

Depends on the prices of the store, here in south america the prices in the Xbox Marketplace are half (or sometimes even less) of Sony's (yes, it's weird). Altough i love PS, loved all the exclusives (Infamous Second Son, Driveclub, Bloodborne, The Last Guardian, Horizon, GOW, Spiderman etc) if this trend continues my next-gen sistem will be, for sure, the next Xbox. Then, in the end of the gen, ill pick a cheap used PS5 for the exclusives.

If i had to bet, knowing the relation between Microsoft and Sony that we know today, probably both companies went to AMD and said "give us the best you have, and cheap. With both of us you have MILLIONS of SOC's to sell".
For me, both consoles will have the SAME hardware, 100%, same SOC, same RAM.

Loved Snatcher, Policenauts and MGS 1, 2, 3 and 4. Since Peace Walker Kojima games interest me less and less. I did not like the gameplay reveal of Death Stranding, what a shame.
