It's probably because it will use the tilt controls. Pac-man Tilt doesn't have 3D and Cubic Ninja turns it off when using the motion controls.

I really doubt it. Probably the only reason 3DS is getting a (shitty) port of MGS3 is a moneyhat from Nintendo.
It's really up to Nintendo to market it. Pit's inclusion in Brawl means that a lot of people who never played the original will recognise him and the story seems to be going for a shonen feel so they might be able to draw people in with that.

That's a bloody steal and this is why handheld gaming will be fine because iphone users are too cheap to pay for quality.
At that price it's definitely worth it. Pick up DOA, Resi: Mercs 3D and Ocarina of Time and you have hours upon hours of quality gaming ahead of you.

You can in Mercenaries 3D so I assume you can in this.
I reckon in the event this is true it's a separate version like the DS CODs or the iphone version of Bad Company 2.
Having 3D on messes up video recordings because it can see both the left and right image but only has one lense.
Firebrand is awesome but I'm not too keen on EA. If it has full online multi I might get it.

This is a marketing tool to draw more attention to the franchise. You won't see a full game on non-Nintendo hardware.

Nintendo is Nintendo, Game Freak is independent, Creatures Inc is owned by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company is part owned by Nintendo. Nintendo has enough ownership of the brand to veto anything if they want.
Mario Kart DS sold about 20 million, Mario Kart Wii is on its way to 30 million.... Mario Kart 3DS releases this year.
