Sorry if it seemed like I was biting your head off, but I've seen a lot of people saying that Kojima might not be making the game which he never said. It's all taken from an interview on Nintendo's site as well!
No, he never said that and whoever's been spreading that is full of crap. He said the game may change depending on the reactions to it at E3.
If it wasn't being made it wouldn't have been announced as a game in development on the press release and if Kojima wasn't committing himself to the projject he wouldn't have done a major interview with Nintendo to hype the machine up.

Kid Icarus looked awesome and it's not what anyone was execting out of a new entry. I expected a Metroidvania or Zelda style Action/Adventure not the Sin and Punishment-esque/hack and slash action game it turned out to be.

I haven't actually had a chance to try Nier yet(on a strict budget right now) but I really want to, reviews were bad but pretty much every 'normal' person I've seen who's played it says it's awesome.
Also I think My Life as a Darklord has a metacritic score in the 60s too and that's awesome.

One of my favourite games has a metacritic score in the sixties(because reviewers are idiots) so yup.
I actually don't think Zelda has been easy at all, the level of challenge has been largely consistent but with each iteration our skills improve so each successive entry presents a smaller challenge to fans of the series.
If they try to make each entry challenging they're actually going to be harder and harder and that will alienate less dedicated fans.
