No end-user listens to analysts. Because they are wrong more often than not. I also believe that Microsofts execution of this has been poor, but this guy is all doom and gloom.
Resolution and framerate do not equate to graphical fidelity.

Jeez... it's pre-alpha gameplay. Give them a break! There is no HUD, there is no names or anything really common with MMO's shown. It looks fine for the stage of development it's in. I think the building (as long as there are crafting skills associated with it) looks great!
To catch up to where Sony is now? But by then, Sony will still be that much ahead in a game Microsoft hasn't even began playing yet.
Will it have mod support? My guess is no.
Titanfall was a great demonstration. I think it was a great show of potential. I hope with Titanfall 2 we'll see more of a "full version".

I haven't found any of the Souls games to have unsatisfactory endings so far (I haven't beaten Dark Souls 3 yet.)

Perhaps you'd prefer an engaging text adventure game based on the Fallout universe? Graphics always matter.
And I have no intention of buying it until the XL edition so I don't get ripped off.
