The advancements in console software and tools is very nice to see. Those minute details do add a lot of immersion simply because our eyes recognize them as natural occurrences.

The shadows and textures
The game looks great thus far.
Saying holistic ad nauseum does not make the machine look any better.
Saying transistors and 300k ad nauseum does not make the cloud real or practical for processing or making the Xbox more powerful.
Saying future and family ad nauseum does not undo all the horrid and obnoxious policies.
Its just flopping and possibly 20% of gamers will even consider it when it is available.
RBS and COD on Vita did in fact disappoint. They were not console like experiences.
Vita does have console experiences though. Golden Abyss was a console like game and Mortal Kombat is too.
The Vita is capable. Its up to the devs to give us the experience. Hopefully Mercenary will fit the bill too

How in god's name can you say the PS4 has not been properly vetted and therefore should not be hyped, and 2 seconds later claim that the cloud is the best thing since sliced bread, when no one has actually seen one real world application of it yet?

The cloud is PR smoke and it will not make the Xbox One more powerful. It doesn't work like that. There's a reason Major Nelson keeps saying things like "transistors".
