...and the devs are just beating a dead horse, yes. Do they really think MS can/will change the media format this late in the generation? Hell, even if they'd tried that early on, like in year 2, they'd have a class-action lawsuit from the 20 million DVD9 360 owners who couldn't play any future 360 games. If you...and these few whiny devs....don't understand that, then there's no hope for you, and all I can do is laugh at you.
...the PS3 was closing the gap....BAM!, the 360 lays the smack down. Sony will finish this gen in 3rd place, no doubt. The day the next XBOX or Wii 2 launches, this generation is over ; dragging it out for another 5 years, like with the PS2, won't change the facts.
Far better...and LONGER...games than Vanquish and C:LoS have been put on a single DVD9. MS made the right decision...and the ONLY decision they could, considering when they launched. Not even HD-DVD was ready until AFTER the 360 was launched, as both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray were experiencing the same supply issues during R&D (for the diodes). If MS had waited to include HD-DVD or Blu-Ray, they don't launch a year early, and the rest is history....

Other than bundles, it won't make much of an impact on hardware....as proven by previous "system sellers" on PS3. Considering how long GT5 has been in the works, and how they've teased it for a "holiday releases" for the past couple years now...anyone who really wanted GT5, likely already has a PS3. The only reason the 360 saw a hardware increase for Reach, is because of the new "S&quo...
...the willingness of the publisher/dev to agree to such a deal, is 1/2 of the equation. Fact is, they wouldn't do this with Sony, because their games sell far better on the 360....same as most other multiplatform games. Fallout 3 sold well over 1 million more on the 360...not counting the GOTY edition. Oblivion, same thing...and supposedly the PS3 had better performance, and even got some free content, because of coming a year later...and yet at a time when there were no other games ...
...but everybody else had finished all that content, and moved on to something else, loooong before you got to play it. :)

Kinect has been beta-tested in homes for MONTHS....all over the world... as well as given public access at various retailers, as well as gaming venues/conferences.
It would be pointless to send out Kinect to all of the gaming websites who review games/hardware, because most of them work out of small offices/cubicles that won't all for proper setup and calibration of Kinect. But if anyone from IGN, GameSpot.com, EDGE, GT, G4TV, etc wants to do a preview....and most have, in some ...

...it's hard for a movie-based game to be good, when the movie itself is an overblown sfx-fest, with a cut/paste storyline and cut/paste characters.
