I'm expecting similar quality on average to advanced PCs.
And it's great to hear that it's the lead platform. It's my número uno game for this year! The anticipation is literally driving me insane.
Horizon will be the following game on my list of anticipation! No games have yet to get as much of my attention (besides MGSV) than the way these have!
It was because of the 1080p situation. No one buys a TV or watches videos in 720p or 900p by choice when the option for 1080p is there.
People make a big deal about it because both PS and Xbox gamers pay the same price for games that are optimized differently. It just so happens that the PS version of some games is usually higher than the Xbox version.
Everyone is so closed minded to the point that just because it wasn't announced at E3 means it's not coming this fall lol
There's plenty of games that are coming out year round for only the PS4. And that's the way I prefer them myself, ALL YEAR. Just because it doesn't let you play with a gun in your hand or it's not a yearly racing game doesn't mean that Playstation doesn't have anything in store this "Holiday" or should I say "...

Most that are are optimized for the console itself or by reducing the number of things going on in the background such as textures. It's trade offs or simplicity that have gotten to 1080p 60FPS this gen. And it's not a bad thing.
I bought a 1080p TV for a reason. 30FPS is not bad at all considering that I still get to enjoy the game's story, gameplay and beautiful textures at a resolution that makes sense. I don't go to YouTube and watch videos at 480p, 720p or 900p...I watch them the same way I play my games, 1080p.
Besides The Order, I don't think I've seen another game so visually stunning!

You're kidding right? The art style and textures are completely different. Different atmospheres and completely different predators. Sorry but that comparison (besides the two having Dinos) is ridiculous.
And regarding the last guardian, just because it's not a run and gun game like you're excited for, doesn't mean it's overhyped.
Next to Phantom Pain, I'd say this is my number two game that I am looking forward to this gen!

I'm a sucker for Dinosaur games (Dinos have always been a favorite of mine in any form of entertainment) so Horizon had me speechless for a long while.
But overall they both brought their A game and hit this E3 hard. Some surprises, some thing's we've known that have been announced for forever. But nonetheless I'd say stalemate as well.

According to a lot of people on this site, if you're not selling a lot and if you have sub-1080p resolution games it doesn't count. Even if almost all of Nintendo's games have metacritic scores above every one of their exclusives.

I saw most of the videos there on youtube actually. But I'll keep an eye out during their E3 presentation to find out more about them from the Devs themselves if MS allows for them to be there on stage.
Hmm, so a lot of the games getting announced today are indie games? Or potentially from the indie part of the presentation.
Either way, it's good to see MS supporting indie devs after getting a lot of negative press about their policies. Let's hope the Xbox fans support these games as much as other AAA titles. Considering that all I get laughed at by most of them for even mentioning how I love F2P or indie games.

I'm honestly surprised that they didn't include a small Multiplayer aspect like MGSV with mother base. But nonetheless, it is a prime example of what a shooter and open world RPG should be like!

Present day hardware limitations probably. It kinda sucks that they didn't focus on fixing this. It seemed to be a gripe from a lot of tech websites who tried it.
Sometimes I wish I lived in the future when things like this happen with hardware development currently.
