A temp rise to 40 degrees is a CPU intensive game for you?! What kind of cooling do you have??
My 2600k with a H80i is idle around 35 deg C and usually around 45 to 50 at load.
Most console games (PS4 mainly, Xbone most of the time) have usually run at a rock solid 30 or 60 frames, unless the coding is bad e.g. ACU. That doesn't take away from the fact that the PC version will be the best version of game (as usual). But the consoles have enough juice in them to pack a punch.

Agreed. The Witcher 2 had the GTX 260 as a recommended GPU, but a GPU much powerful than that was required for ultra settings...and this is excluding ubersamping.
I doubt the 770 will be able to properly max out the game.
I am actually going to buy the collector's edition for Uncharted 4. I never buy collector's editions for any game, and usually skip the special editions as well, unless they're dirt cheap. But since this might be the last Uncharted (I really hope not), being my favourite franchise I think a collector's edition purchase is definitely warranted.

Even most budget rigs nowadays have GPUs with 2GB VRAM minimum e.g. GTX 750ti. So I think it was just poor judgement in terms of PC parts on your behalf.
No offence, but why would you buy a GPU/PC with less than 2GB of VRAM in 2014, and then expect it to be future proof?

I was going to wait for the PS+ edition, but with the new weather patch, I couldn't resist. I was going to get the full game eventually, so it's not too much of problem. The fact that I got for only £25 makes it even better.
PS fans were unhappy when DR3 was a console exclusive for the Xbox One. Now xbox fans are unhappy that SFV is a console exclusive for the PS4. That's basically it. I don't know why people are making so much more of a big deal about SFV than they did about DR3.
I was on the fence with this one...but now it looks like this might just be a great game :)
