Classic controls are default for a reason. You'll only be hurting yourself in the long run by using the alternates.
I've been online with it 3-4 times, and once you're in the game its definitely legit netcode. There were only a couple of incidents where somebody would teleport briefly but honestly its some of the smoothest online I've seen with vehicles moving this fast.
Thats not the issue, the issue is that they dont distinguish between patches and new content. Once a game has passed the submission barriers, it should be able to streamline patches to the users. In addition a user controllable rollback function should be in place as well.

and I usually am the guy in support of those impossible trophies....so long as they represent player skill, not arbitrary luck
as long as the final version doesn't have the networking errors its shaping up to be my favorite multiplayer game ever on the ps3
I can't tell you how much I love this game...
I think the Co-op is a way of getting around this gen's failure to support the full on "galaxy exploration" that they started to try in ME1.
Sadly the fact is, we wont see that type of thing fully developed until next gen consoles or pc exclusives.
