So one game does an excellent job and makes an inexpensive DLC, and all of the sudden that's the standard? As awesome as that sounds, it's also pretty ignorant to use the exception as the rule.
Plus $20 for the entire season pass is awesome. The trials are challenging and very fun.

Thekhurg, I love every game you listed, but it's amazing to me that any of those would be placed above BoTW. I personally think Red Dead Redemption is the only one close to it. Actually Dark Souls too.

At least they created the most unique, diverse looking open world. There's not a single area that looks alike. Every single other open world game, not counting Red Dead, has cut and paste looking areas.
