Not necessarily. If they keep this momentum (zelda, mario, splatoon) and continue delivering untouchable exclusives that destroy third parties, then it will be very irrelevant. A non-exclusive game has never sold a console. Halo, Gears, and Sunset, are the only reason I own an Xbox 1.
TL;DR I own a ps4 for everything that's not exclusive to X1 and Nintendo. Both of those have strong enough 1st parties to sell.
