So the replacement for consoles is deemed to be streaming from the cloud. For this reason I hope there is at least 1 more console generation as most of the world and even many parts of the U.S. lack the infrastructure to support streaming in high quality. I personally have the connection needed to stream in HD, but let's face it on a global scale I'm in the lucky minority.

Xbone fanboys can thank MS for the early DLC and exclusive content war. What comes around goes around is exactly right. What the hell are they crying about anyway? They're getting early DLC for Advanced Warfare, The Division and Evolve before PlayStation players. Are they really that butthurt over one game? XD

Exclusives is where the most powerful consoles shine, and there's nothing the competition can do about it. And there's no doubt Sony has some heavy hitters when it comes to first party titles.
I respect Bungie, but come on. So what if the X1 version can't have as high a resolution as the PS4, you should have still targeted for the highest possible resolution and framerate on the most powerful console, then adjusted for the other consoles from there. I really hate this gimping for the sake of everyone having the same specs. The dev team has already stated it's more than just running and hiding. The game involves crafting mechanics to build health supplements, molotov cocktails, EMP granades etc... There is also a limit to how much you can carry which forces you to carry only the most essential items for survival. You can never kill the Alien, but you can set traps, use distractions and weapons to aid in your escape (You can't kill it, but you can scare it away for a very short duration of time). You can ...
In other words, we finally have a dev that understands the vision of the movie franchise. It was never about killing, it was always about survival. I'm personally looking forward to this game and I'm glad it's being made by a development team that "get it".
