People are hyped to experience the gameplay. So what if it wipes data at the end, you'll still get to know if you like the game or not.
I'm in the same boat. You won't get a code if you preordered digitally, you will be able to download and play the beta without a code because PSN already has your info. I have automatic downloads setup on my PS4 so its supposed to automatically download the beta and be ready for me when I get home, at least that's what they've promised.
So I take it they only want top tier PCs to be able play this game at a fictional frame rate? There are plenty of people with PCs around the same specs as a PS4, are they left out to?
Thanks!
I stuck with PS3 the entire last gen but let's face it many mistakes were made with the system. Just glad they learned from it and PS4 is now shining because of it.
Someone wishes they could redo the system launch... They must be ready to start over again after the PR disaster.
The Hunter looks sick...
True, but Star Citizen is currently the only one I truly care about. The rest are offered on console (plus some exclusives you can't get on PC). I've built 3 gaming rigs in my lifetime and I currently have no plans to build another one. The cost to benefit ratio is to wide a gap. I realize you can make a gaming PC for around the same price of a console, but then your stuck at low-medium graphics and you may as well have just stuck with a console. Not to mention, it would be outdated a...
@pandehz I get that PC hardware is more powerful. No argument there, as facts are facts. My only point is that you can do more with less on console. In 3 or 4 years the PS4 and Xbone will be vastly outmatched in turns of what they can do compared to a PC. However I'm speaking in the present, and the truth is that minus the highest possible frame rates and resolution the current consoles can provide basically the same experience available on PC, and that is due to the road blocks that cons...
It would require downgrading, but I don't think it would be MASSIVE. You can truly code to the metal on consoles which you can NOT do on PC. Anyone who pays attention to the articles that rolls through N4G knows that Sony has been optimizing the development tools quite a lot since launch, and it's still early in it's lifespan. The advantage of consoles is that you can truly optimize the experience and remove layers of taxing code that are required on PC due to the infinite amounts...
I'd love to play Star Citizen, but I'm not going to build a gaming PC to play 1 game. I prefer my PS4, many will disagree but it suits my needs. I'll live without Star Citizen.
Hopefully it's more useful than the app for COD Ghosts. That thing is garbage.
Yes you are. If you have automatic downloads set up it will automatically download the beta and you'll be able to jump right in. Have fun!
Agreed, I like the idea of betas so players can bang on the code. Early access however makes it sound like your paying for a finished game earlier than everyone else and sets your expectations higher for what you are getting.
My PS4 is ready...
I see a trend developing...
@Tct Thanks for telling me... You over it?
Glad to see another Microsoft to Sony convert :)
In what country? It's $60 in stores and on PSN here. I think it should be cheaper for the digital version since there is no resale value and no printing/shipping/storage costs for the publishers.
@mr-dude that's not the beta, that's a placeholder for the additional content, it also has a countdown to the full release day. The beta is 14 gigs and judging by the free space on my PS4 it has not downloaded.
