I mean, cool for anyone who doesn't own it already on something else, but it being portable is not enough for me to buy it again.
I think it will definitely be a long term success. 3rd party support seems to be picking up, Nintendo is bringing their A game in terms of games, the only lackluster thing about it is the online.. I like to think they will improve it but I know better than to get my hopes up.
This guy has no idea what he is talking about! the game is amazing! My only complaint is the lack of control options. All Nintendo first party games on the gamecube were gold..
I would definitely get it on Switch for 3 reasons.
1. I don't imagine it would look/run much worse if at all...
2. PS4 and Xbox have mandatory installs even with Disc games and I want to get a physical copy, I just hate downloading the entire game to my system but still having to put the disc in to play the game, Switch doesn't do this. (Side note: I think this should seriously not be a thing with PS5 and Xbox Two)
3. The portab...
It's sad because Twilight Princess was a way better game. Miles beyond BOTW
Well have fun grinding 24/7 then having everything you grinded for become useless when the DLC comes out, then you have to do it all over again! and the best part.. once you grind for all of that loot, you get to do it AGAIN when.. you guessed it, more DLC comes out! Man Destiny is just such a good game!
Can anyone actually give specific examples of why the game is so great?
not even up there with the best Zelda games..
Botw is not even that good of a game, it's so fundamentally flawed with so many poor design choices with no real reward for anything you do the entire game. You can think the game is great, that can be your opinion and you're entitled to that, but a game with as many flaws and poor design choices as Botw should certainly not be called the best game of all time. I wouldn't even call it the best Zelda of all time, just another article riding the hype train behind this game. Everyone...
If you ask me Knack had good gameplay but terrible story, the writing and acting were just pitiful, that is where the sequel needs to improve, storytelling.
BotW is not a great game, I will keep saying it until the sheep take the wool away from their eyes, i'm not typing out another long comment, just read my comment that's up there ^^
BotW is not that good, I cant believe how blind people are when it comes to Nintendo. I'm speechless. And before any of you even say it, yes I completed the entire game with only a handful of shrines left. The game is not even close to great. Is it good? Sure, but calling it this years game of the year now is ridiculous. Mario Odyssey still comes out this year and looks to be one of the best Mario games yet, right up there with Sunshine and the Galaxy series. Where as BotW (If you ask me)...
That's just it, never any pay off, but I would like to add one more pay off, getting your house, very cool. I wish we could do a little bit more with it, like have it be a waypoint on your map or anything.. but still cool, also I thought the Tarrey town was really cool too, but with that once again.. no pay off, I mean you completely put together this town from nothing and get almost nothing for doing so.. I mean the cutscene of the wedding was a nice special moment.. but still.. have thi...
lol I beat the game all the way through and only missed a handful of shrines...
Exploring absolutely never paid off. The best thing you could stumble on was some nice new armour. Stumbling onto a shrine was very uninteresting because that's all there ever was to find, that and korok seeds (The little guys hiding behind the same 3 puzzles/challenges spread throughout the world) Never once did you stumble onto something that felt unique, everywhere was just more of the same, and even when you think you finally found something truly unique.. ooh, just another shrine, wh...
There is plenty to not like about this game, take your goggles off. Worst console Zelda hands down.
This game wasn't even that good though... still wouldn't say it was worth it even though I only payed $40
or just don't get that grinding cash cow of a game...
These articles are just idiotic.. wouldn't it just be easier to point out all of the AAA 3rd party games that are coming to switch?
@Septic The only thing breath of the wild smashes is it's in game weapons, Odyssey, Splatoon 2, Mario + Rabbids, and Xenoblade 2 is what makes the Switch shine this year, not the worst, most overhyped/overrated console Zelda to date.
