First of all PS2 has not outsold Ps3 for quite some time.
On to the article....I think Sony is gaing alot of money from PS2 and needs it to help balance out the ps3 losses. I also think Sony wants to wait until productions cost drop for PS3 and all the major franchises that PS2 owners loved come out and then it will drop support when the PS3 is the best possible deal and PS2 sales have declined greatly.

In this age game consoles will have to rely on first and second party titles and Sony has an excellent first party so you can expect to see some great games coming from Sony.
360 does have the advantage in RPGs at the moment but with Eternal Sonata coming to PS3 this fall along with Disgaea 3 and this, it seems JRPG fans still have there fix.
We could see a new square exclusive at the start of august, the rumored new tales game for the PS3 at TGS, the mystery Atlus announcement could be a new ps3 game, not to mention if any of the square titles become multiplatform.

Im glad there are more games using PS3 as there lead platform such as Prince of Persia and Mirrors Edge. LBP, Motorstorm, Infamous all look really good too. But No matter what console you own this year there are tons of great games to play this holiday season. I am surprised LBP didn't take any of the awards O well i guess everyone has there opinions.

Star Ocean, Last Remnant, Infinite Discovery all exclusives of some sort of exclusive for 360. All Multiplatform games released by Japanese companies has sold better on PS3. Devil May Cry 4, DBZ Burst Limit, Dynasty Warriors, and Dynasty Warriors Gundam all sold better on PS3. If they want to end Fanboyism why dont they make the 360 exclusives multiplatform such as Infinite Discovery and Star Ocean. Not to mention the timed exclusivity of Last Remnant.

They showed just as much time showing off has Microsoft and Nintendo did. The videos were designed to show how many games Sony had to offer and most of the games shown were exclusive. Sony focused on exclusive games during their conference. Three new games were announced that we knew nothing about and they were all targeted to the hardcore audience and that is more then you can say about Microsoft or Nintendo. RPGs are generally shown at TGS. E3 is for the american audience I thought most people new that. As for the conference it was great didnt have any shocking announcements to match FF13 but it did have tons of games and has the most exclusive titles this year. I think Overall all companies showed a bunch of great stuff and i cant wait to play alot of these games.
It sure is a huge announcement however it is still not coming out for a while and the 360 has fallen behind the ps3 in terms of monthly sales this will not help 360 sell better, it will just stop ps3 from absolutely destroying them. This Gen is not over and some people take this way to seriously. Sony's day is tomorrow and we will see what they can announce. 360 only showed a bunch of rip offs and a few already confirmed exclusives. I doubt it will come out on that date. The japanese version of the game will probably come at the end of 2009 seeing how they have shown very little on the game. The American Version will probably be released early 2010 and the European Version mid 2010.
