Everyone realizes that the 20 anniversary is for a different game because 20 years ago no final fantasy game was released (the original was released in 1987). Why do you think the rest of the line wasn't shown in the picture. So if we go by this then FF7 is not coming to the 360. Also the top one is coming out for both so its most likely something else.
I think that is for another game the 20th anniversary because they dont show the rest of that line. FF7 was released in 1997 so that would only be 11 years and FF1 was released in 1987 originally and then again in 1990 for the nes. So I dont think that top part is for FF7 but I dont know what game is coming out in two weeks without any sort of announcement.
it seems like a very desperate move for Microsoft. This move will only keep the 360 ahead in America for a little longer. I don't blame Microsoft there is really nothing else they can do to slow Sony's momentum down. I think PS3 will still be able to outsell 360 in the holiday season just because of LBP, MGS4, Socom, and the growing rate of Blu-ray and if it does i think we can say Microsoft is finished this gen.

Well the 360 version came out several months after the PS3 version so of course its gonna look better same reason Oblivion looks better on PS3 and why Bioshock will look better on PS3. When you have a few extra months to sharpen textures the game looks better than a game that was only being developed for less time.
I really hope it is something positive for PS3 after Square saying that they would support all consoles equally that has not been the case. With the PS3 only get one exclusive compared to the 360's 2 exclusives and one timed exclusive it seems so far they have not stuck to that statement. We have like 2 or 3 exclusive shooters no more than than 360 has. In fact most of the games being released this holiday season are not shooters and you also have to remember that RPGs take longer to develop and that is why this holiday is when you will see the first 3 JRPGs for PS3 being released. Look at 360 last year and the JRPGs they had Versus PS3 this year and the JRPGs that are coming to PS3. PS3 has the much better JRPG lineup. Why does no one care about Valkyria Chronicles and Disgaea 3 the games look so good not to mention we are getting a port of Eternal Sonata this fall.
Not really shocking but the event revealed some amazing stuff. FF13 and FFv13 gameplay was shown. The psp is getting alot from square and that bundle will probably do wonders for Sony in Japan.

The Price Cut isn't going to put PS3 in deep water is just taking the 360 out of deep water(temporarily). The PS3 has already outsold 360 by 1.5 million units this year and looking back at last year the PS3 was able to outsell 360 even with Halo 3. I would of taken this seriously but they said the 360 has taken flight. We all know that it has not "taken flight" in fact it is selling less than the PS3 and Wii.

Yea Honestly they may outsell PS3 for one week in japan but the lead is so big that Square would not make the new FF7 game exclusive it would just not allow fans of the series to play the game. The way Ps3 sales have improved , and the fact that japanese developed games sell better on the PS3 than 360 I wouldn't be surprised if a few new JRPGs were announced by year's end. Not to mention the rumored PS3 tales game and the high probablity of Star Ocean becoming Multiplatform.
This is only the second year of the PS3's lifecycle if you look back at the 360's second year there rpgs were Lost Odyssey ,Blue Dragon, and Eternal Sonata three ok games.
This year the PS3 will get Disgaea 3, Valkryia Chronicles, and Eternal Sonata. The difference being Disgaea 3 and Valkryia Chronicles will probably get high to mid 8s with Valkyria Chronicles looking to be the best JRPG of the year.
