Played it for 3 hours tonight, all single player. I'm really enjoying it. Guys, this is a really good game, but I judged it for myself instead of listening to rewards and I have a RPG I really like. I suggest you do the same.
So far, no lagging, load times, screen tear or pop-ins. Definitely doesn't freeze. Battle system is fun so far, and I'm only at the beginning so it will definitely get better. Graphics are pretty nice. All in all, I like it so far.
Where were you on all the WKC review stories? Yeah, quiet yourself.
Our starvation for a good JRPG on the PS3 has blinded us. Looks like I'm waiting till SO4 next week, and FFXIII in 4 weeks
I'm a huge fan of the Star Ocean series, so no problem there.
I don't have the money to blow it on what looks to be a mediocre RPG. I want to try it for myself, and I haven't played an RPG in almost 4 years but damn. Thank God for Star Ocean and FFXIII
The first Dead Space wasn't even scary that much. Now they are going RE5 on us? Crap. Still waiting for my true next-gen horror fix.
I haven't the money or the time to try Demon's Souls right now. I want to so bad, though. I'll get it in May when I have lots of cash flow again.
I watched all the PSN WKC videos last night, and I was like "This game is mine!" There's something mysterious about this title I have to uncover, and it's uniqueness is what attracted me.
White Knight Chronicles, Star Ocean The Last Hope International, and Final Fantasy XIII. FINALLY, some RPG love for my PS3! It's been far too long..
I don't know about you, but if I get a B- on a paper or test in college, I tend to feel pretty good about that.
Us PS3-only owners are so JRPG-starved that we need to get this game. The fact that it's a PS3-exclusive doesn't really matter (Blu-Ray obviously does, but just saying), what matters is the fact that this looks like a quality JRPG. I haven't played an RPG since FFXII back in 2006. This looks like a better version of FFXII to me. And the online portion is really interesting. Already have 3 friends that want to do quest. And honestly, if an online portion of a game is so huge, no review can be ...
Breath Of Fire 3 and 4!! Please! I'd also like to see some games from the Mega Man X series.
FF19 - no more characters, just stick figures with barely noticeable differences. But hey, least the stick figures will be in 3D!
It's a con because as gamers, other games will seem inferior and inadequately irrelevant to this potential masterpiece.
Well, some people may think the battle system is too fast or overwhelming. But a 9.8 for story? That's what I wanna hear!
Man, too many similarities with FFXII for my taste. Hated XII. But, I would love to see some reviews as well, as this is one title I really want to like.
You might be able to give me and all of us some accurate info on this topic then. How much is the battle system like FF12? I'm only worried about gameplay when it comes to WKC as from what I've seen, it's not catering to my style. Then again, last RPG I played was FF12 so I still have a bad taste in my mouth from that one. How creative can you be with it and how difficult are the fights? And is the story boring? Only parts I'm concerned with.
If the "style over substance&quo...
If Sony wanted our money all along, they should of just done this in the first place. (That was meant to be a joke against Sony's bad marketing till last year, but...whatever. Not important.)
There's bound to be some games on this list that will be looked over just for the sheer amount of games that are coming out.
I've recently discovered extra money that I can spend, and am deciding between Star Ocean 4 and WKC (you may have noticed my forum posting). And I'm leani...
@6.1
Honestly, yes I would. I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm so excited for FFXIII. Any reason to play the game after beating it - sign me up. Like I said earlier, as long as we get the full version of the game (the one's the developers originally envisioned or planned) then I'm perfectly content with paying for it.
Yeah, cause it's my personal objective to con you all out of $60. Get a life, man. And the game is really good, so far it's a 8/10 in my book, and I play lots of RPGs. I like it more than Rogue Galaxy, and it's like Dark Cloud 2 meets FFXII. Once you delve into the combat system, it becomes quite fun. I'm actually enjoying the story a bit. Haven't played online yet. Voiceovers are decent, need some work but are definitely listenable. Music is hit or miss. This isn't the greatest RPG for PS3, ...
