I always feel like the Summer is a good time to play some games that are underrated or don't garner the warranted attention it deserves. Nevertheless, inFamous 2 and Catherine are pretty amazing games for the Summer.
Can't wait for the, "Terrible Games, Great Box Art" article. That would be more interesting by default.
You and me both. I never played it before!
I own the platinums for Mass Effect 2, Fallout 3, and Uncharted 2 (as well as Uncharted 1), and Trine, Modern Warfare 2, and Sly 1.
My most satisfying platinum without question is Mirror's Edge!!
Not overrated at all. It ushered in 3D gaming and was the first game to do it effortlessly and correct. It's the best Mario game ever made and is probably the 2nd best Nintendo game ever made behind Ocarina of Time.
Overrated? You are.
The list is very good, and it's spread out among franchises, which is important. But I'll be damned if Chrono Cross isn't the best soundtrack I ever heard for a game.
YES!!! I've never played this before. Now I can finally delve into it on Tuesday!!
We just need release dates for FFVI and Chrono Trigger.
Here's an easier solution: Add trophies and online play!
What's on September 6th?
FFVIII and FFIX have the best soundtracks to me personally, but FF7 probably has the best songs of the series. Must say, Symphony of the Night and Chrono Cross NEED to be on this list, pronto.
We can only hope Wada will be gone by then.
N4G, where you get disagrees for factual evidence. This will not change in 2027.
Cause some people don't have PCs that can handle it. Some people prefer to hold a controller in their hand. I, for one, am getting it on PS3 and will enjoy every second of it. Tuesday can't come fast enough!!
I'm literally in a dark corner on my hands and knees trembling waiting for this game. Come Tuesday, I can come out of the dark - only to pick it up - then go back and play.
Chrono Trigger, Breath of Fire II, Illusion of Gaia, Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Final Fantasy III. The list goes on and on. SNES is my favorite system of all time, not just for RPGs.
Deus Ex and Uncharted are the only guaranteed day one buys for me. The rest I can wait on.
Not gonna lie, it would be fun to see, for example, Shepard unloading rounds into Miranda and vice versa. Some proper RPG elements would be a welcome addition to the multiplayer side of things, but it should in no way hinder the campaign OR force players to play the game with someone because it'll make it better (looking at you, Resident Evil 5).
Not to mention with how much they've been teasing it. Hardly any news is secret nowadays.
Outland was amazing. Best downloadable game this year. The only other game I played from the list - Shadows of the Damned - was a steaming pile of dog turd, in my opinion. Everything about it felt pretty old and stuck together. No innovation, mindless campaign, dumb story. Only good thing was the gameplay, because it's Shinji Mikami. Suda51 games are style over substance, unfortunately.
"What the actual fuck?" - Haha that made me laugh for some reason.
