I was born in 1988 and I started with the very first FF and played nearly every console RPG ever released, even to this day, only missing the Dreamcast ones. FFVII is still my favorite, followed by FFX/FFVIII.
PSN is down? I'm online right now.
Hmm. I've never heard of this game before!
To me it's the greatest game of all time, and has had the most influence on my life. Now, many will debate this and everyone has their own opinions, but what CAN'T be denied is the fact that FFVII really ushered in the era of RPGs and made them popular. Without FFVII, RPGs most likely wouldn't be relevant anymore.
No matter how good I get at detecting sarcasm over the internet, sometimes it eludes me. Sorry about that.
Why would you pay more for the same game? Game of the Year edition is $50 new. You can't convince me the Wii U version has enough newness to it to justify $60 for what will essentially be a year old title.
Never sacrifice artistic integrity for business decisions. Yes, Bulletstorm was unproven, and not guaranteed to sell. That doesn't mean they should have changed their approach just because of that fact.
And we've seen, what, 10 minutes of Leon's campaign? Out of 10 hours or so? Of course they won't show the horror sections - or best sections for that matter. They just wanna show what will "wow" everyone. And action wows more than horror.
I'm just waiting for my cousin to give me a ride to GameStop! The wait is aggravating!
Looks like Leon's campaign will be more survival horror.
Chris' campaign will be action-oriented.
And Jake's campaign will be a mixture of the two.
That's the vibe I get.
It's my preference. Origins was TOO slow. I enjoy tactics and all that, but it was pretty slow.
People get butthurt when their opinions don't match theirs.
Origins was more epic, and DAII had better gameplay. Combine those two with some new ideas and they could have an amazing game.
Suda 51 is an awesome game designer. If the game is 5 hours long, and you have to play through it three times to unlock everything, that's about 15 hours. 4 difficulty modes, two endings, 19 outfits, trophies/achievements, etc. Yeah, it'll keep me busy.
My favorite game this generation, Mirror's Edge, is about the same length. I've replayed that game about 20 times. Same thing here? We'll see. Picking it up tomorrow.
Jaffe is one of my favorite designers. He has tons of talent, and given the bank, could make something really special.
Killzone is terrible. Do something ORIGINAL!
No fucking shit. Doesn't take a genius to notice that. Doesn't mean it won't be scary, though.
Graphics never make a game, but they never hurt a game either. It adds to the immersion the better they are. Gameplay, story, music, etc. will always be more important, though. Always.
Tuesday can't come fast enough for me.
One of the best games this year so far. It's short (it IS 4-5 hours), but you replay it over and over not for leaderboards, costumes, etc., but because it's just THAT good and fun. It's a game's game. Also, I love that Juliet isn't just a dumb blonde bimbo, either.
