Fascinating. Well no, not really.
It doesn't really bother me. I think that, as a PS3 owner, 2008 has been a phenomenal year. Games like MGS4, Siren and (to a lesser degree) GTA4 were just the beginning. I'm really looking forward to the usual suspects this fall.
I'm thinking of getting a 360 when Alan Wake comes out. Right now, games like Gears and Fable just don't do it for me.

Miyamoto must be respected for what he's done for the industry. However his recent, disgraceful endorsement of all that trash that's being released on the Wii has hurt his reputation.

Kojima has attained a level that no other game designer has attained before. The release of MGS4 helped solidify that standing. To me, as well as many others, there simply isn't anyone better.

They view Sony as their biggest threat. Having them out of the way will help monopolize the market. Thankfully, it doesn't look like its going to happen anytime soon, with the PS3 closing in and all. Still, a monopoly is NEVER a good thing. We need Sony and MS to both succeed for our sake.
